Fish
King Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Little bitch
You can't fuck with me if you wanted to
I'mma King, I don't need a crown to make the crowd move
That's a dub, I just bagged a MILF, I guess I'm that dude
Walking round with a big ole butt, she got some tattoos too
I'm the Big Fish
Show me big tits
You talk too much, think you need something in them thick lips
Leave your wig split
Hoe, go mind your business
I'm not a business man, I'm a business
Wassup slut? What flavor squirt you got?
My BDE all over me, it ain't just in my crotch
I'm the big G on CPT
I'm gone come when I want
No CBD, this WEED, OUID, WEED
Now come deep throat this blunt
It's a bird, it's a plane?
No it's me, I'm fly as fuck!
I'm the bossest boss up in the spot
I'm not some regular shmuck
All these lil' boys want live big meanwhile their bank rolls way too small
Don't come round me with some bullshit, biko. Uzoula, chill out
Take her out to lunch; eat her out for dinner
Fogo de chao now, next my tongue finna hit your liver
I just chopped a dutch, my blunts getting bigger
My minds racing to this cash, your ass is stuck, nigger
I'm the Big Fish
Show me big tits
You talk too much, think you need something in them thick lips
Leave your wig split

Hoe, go mind your business
I'm not a business man, I'm a business

Overall Meaning

In these lyrics, King appears to be using fish as a metaphor for opportunity or potential. She notes that she has never spoken about fish before, indicating that she wants to explore a new topic, and perhaps suggesting that fish are representing something unfamiliar or under-discussed to her. She then notes the abundance of fish in the ocean, which could indicate that there are many opportunities or paths to take in life. The phrase "a fish in time saves nine" is a play on the well-known adage "a stitch in time saves nine," suggesting that taking advantage of opportunities as they arise can prevent problems or regrets later on.

Line by Line Meaning

And now I would like to speak about fish.
I have something to say about fish that I haven't shared before.

I have never spoken about fish before,
This is the first time I'm talking about fish.

At least, not that I can remember.
As far as my memory goes, I haven't talked about fish.

So now would most certainly be a good time for me to do so.
I think this is the perfect opportunity to talk about fish.

After all, there's plenty of fish in the ocean,
Fish are abundant in the ocean.

And a fish in time saves nine.
Taking appropriate action at the right time can prevent future problems.

This leads me to my next point.
This brings me to what I want to discuss next.

I still cannot believe you have not done a WORLD TOUR!!!
I have been watching you since you were 14 years old.

I am a huge BB King fan and to me, you are the reincarnation of the late great bluesman. Saw him live and he is the father i never had.

I am 62 soon, but still as young as ever and when you finally come this side of the Atlantic, I will in the front row moving like a 14 year once more, which is the year I broke out of the church life and said, Mama, music is life!
That is the blues to me.

Rock on Kingfish…But over here as well, in Europe.
🙏🏽

@richmck007

@@jinjalord World tour in the sense that he did more than two cities in each country which he has not…
Eg, London, Birmingham or Manchester or Liverpool. Paris, Marsella or Cannes Germany- Berlin, Bonn or Munich
Austria-Vienna. SPAIN- Madrid, Barcelona ( Yeah, I know he did the Jazz festival in Pais Basque ) Valencia or Seville, Italy- Rome, Milan…
Then there is Sweden, Norway, Denmark and more…
That’s what I call a European tour! There is Japan, he is loved there. Australia and New Zealand as well.
I am sure if the promotors got this going, Chris and the band would sell out clubs and sell more music through promoting the gigs.
If only I was that promoter.
I saw BB King in his time and other greats.
It is time for Chris for sure!

So underrated! Why isn’t this playing on every radio station?!

@KingKull1971

Because he's black and playing the blues.
When was the last time you heard B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Ben Harper, or Eric Gales on the radio.
Answer:
Never.
The main stream media is racist and formulaic.

@johnlemon874

Because its nothing groundbreaking and has been done a million times and that at top of the game

@KingKull1971

@johnlemon874  so what you're saying is Taylor Swift, Billie Ellish, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, and Post Malone, just to name several, are actually ground breaking? They sound like the artist from 30-35 years ago. There hasn't been anything groundbreaking in music for decades.

@johnlemon874

@@KingKull1971 I mean yeah, they kinda all drive the modern sound. With all the digitalised stuff nowadays I highly doubt that they sound anything like peope from 30 years ago. It is groundbreaking in its own way, it never stops evolving, even if what's mainstream is more simple than it used to be.

@KingKull1971

@johnlemon874  The truth is, it does sound like 35 years ago. All the digital sounds were produced off of those original recordings. The digital replicates those sounds, and todays so-called artists use those same sounds to this very day. I actually think in many respects, there's been a devolution because of it. Hip Hop is a prime example of this devolution. Rock has devolved as well in this regard. The innovations that artists such as Hendrix, Van Halen, Malmsteen, and many others brought to the table have simply flat-lined. We have more imitators than innovators. Polyphia may be one of the few bands that's doing anything original these days. So, there's still hope.

There are great blues players and great blues singers. Rarely do these two things come in one package. It happened with BB. I has happened again.

@just-incase

That's seriously awesome the way those big powerful mitts manhandle that guitar. Kingfish is undoubtedly the Solo Master of all the players out there now as far as I'm concerned. There's nothing I love more than hearing Christone do his solos, and if you aren't seriously rocking the furniture by the six minute mark then I'm sorry, I just can't help you. Cheers and two huge thumbs up!!

@bidenbuyersremorse7019

Kingfish is certainly one of the best bluesmen going right now. Awesome.

@camrensmith9276

I WAS THERE FOR THIS GIG AND IT WAS LIFECHANGINGLY INCREDIBLE
