Firstly, Komakino were a five piece UK band (Ryan Needham, Martin Samuels, Stuart Samuels, Dan Beddows, Mark Stone) from Derby that were unsigned. They released their debut single Say Something on 18/07/2005 with Drowned in Sound. The single was ltd edition and sold out. They also released an EP but this was only sold at their dates they played with Bloc Party on Bloc Party's Fan Club Tour in 2006. The band have toured with many bands including Bloc Party, Hope of the States, The Cooper Temple Clause and Editors. In January 2008, the band announced their split on Myspace and asked fans to add their new band at http://www.myspace.com/youanimals.
Secondly, Komakino was a trance duo formed by Germans Ralph Fritsch & Detlef Hastik from the 1990s, who released at least one album (Energy Trancemission). Several tracks of this album have been included compilation mixes.
There was also a post punk band Komakino from Slovenia, named after Joy Division's single.
They were active in late 80s. The members were Bojan Ažman, Maček, Dragan Tomaševič and Ana Korenini.
