The group was formed in January 1996 and broke up in 1999 due to conflicts between the two singers. They released one CD (Korea Girl, 1997; rereleased in 1999 with additional bonus tracks) and one 7" (Reunion, 1998) on Asian Man Records, and also appear on various Asian Man compilation CDs as well as a video/DVD.
Korea Girl's music was generally melodic and understated, featuring both male and female vocals and using clean (undistorted) guitars in the manner of such earlier indie rock groups as Blake Babies.

About where you are now?
You tripped and you slipped
On the things you thought you needed.
You died on your throne
And now you're left unseated.
Every tick of the tock
Is the time to start conceiving.
I know I'm lame, I know your sane
I hope you're defeated
Keep no angels (devils)
The lyrics of the song Upside Down by Korea Girl encourages the listener to be reflective of their current place in life, how they got there, and how they can move forward. The first two lines ask the listener to pause and ponder on their current situation. The next two lines suggest that despite the listener's best intentions, they may have made poor decisions which resulted in them falling short of their goals. The line "You died on your throne" suggests that despite achieving their goals, they may have lost sight of what was truly valuable in life.
The lyrics go on to suggest that every moment is an opportunity to start over and make better choices for the future. The line "Every tick of the tock, is the time to start conceiving" encourages the listener to use each passing moment to plan for a better future. The line "And you go undergrowth" suggests that despite difficulties, the listener will still persevere through. The following lyrics, "I know I'm lame, I know your sane, I hope you're defeated, keep no angels (devils)" are a bit harder to interpret, but they may suggest that the singer recognizes their shortcomings and hopes that the listener keeps striving to improve themselves, without letting either good or bad influences hold them back.
