The Korsakoff project was started by Bart Kok in 2001, in order to release more melodic and mainstream-oriented material than with his main alias Catscan. Bart first used the fake identity of Jeroen Kanon to sign the Korsakoff tracks.
In 2004, when Bart left the Third Movement label to found the Pro Artist Management label together with DJ X-Ess, the Korsakoff project started being fronted by van der Eng. Since then she appears on the covers of Korsakoff releases and performs deejaying as DJ Korsakoff, but at the beggining, most tracks were composed and produced by Bart (sometimes with Outblast).
Nowadays she produces the tracks by herself and Korsakoff is only Lindsay van der Eng.
Korsakoff’s first became known in 2004 when she and Dj Outblast produced the official Masters Of Hardcore anthem: “Unleash the Beast”. Unleash the Beast was broadcasted on television network The Box as a promotional stunt for Masters Of Hardcore. That year things developed pretty fast, as she was booked to play at some of the biggest hardcore events; Thunderdome, Masters Of Hardcore and BASSLEADER.
Eternity
Korsakoff Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Music, help me
I′m alone in this world
And a fucked up world it is too
Tell me
Tell me the story
The one about eternity
And the way it's all gonna be
Wake up
Wake up, dead man
Music
Music, help me
I′m alone in this world
And a fucked up world it is too
The lyrics of Korsakoff's song Eternity express the feeling of isolation and despair in a world that feels broken and dysfunctional. The singer turns to music for solace, asking it to "help me" as they navigate the loneliness of their existence. They long for a sense of purpose and meaning, asking to hear the story of eternity and what the future holds. The lyrics suggest a belief in some kind of afterlife or eternal existence, which offers comfort in the face of the harsh realities of the present.
The repeated phrase "wake up, dead man" suggests a desire to shake off the numbness or despair that the singer is experiencing. It may also imply a sense of disconnection from the world around them, as though they are living like a "dead man" in a place that is inhospitable to life. By calling out to music, the singer hopes to reconnect with a sense of vitality and purpose.
Overall, the lyrics of Eternity convey a sense of yearning for something beyond the current reality, a sense of hope that there is more to life than what can be seen or experienced in the present moment. The song's driving beat and intense energy reflect this desire for connection and transcendence.

It's a pity because we are losing great djs like outblast, korsakoff, endymion, ea... even angerfist, that for me, before they were better. Im not saying they are bad or that i dont like this song, because i like it, but i think that nowadays, Italian hardcore and "little" djs like dj neox, wasted mind, the melodyst, triax, ... are maintaining hardcore. Check for example any song of the melodyst or neox, theyre fucking great with more kick and not so much vocals. THIS IS HARDCORE.

couldn't agree more, the dutch djs are going the way hardstyle went in terms of a more friendly sound. hardcore blasters in my opinion are the ones maintaining hardcore at the moment

I like both new and early hardstyle. As long there isn't too much "song" i mostly find the track awesome! :) I actually just started to listen to hardcore a few days ago, so this genre is kinda new to me :)
