Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with a local producer by the name of IcyRoc Kraven. Another local rapper by the name of Tech N9ne was also collaborating with IcyRoc at the time, which led to the two rappers meeting. Tech N9ne was currently working on a song titled "Who You Came To See" and Krizz made a comment that the song could have a better hook. Tech offered up the opportunity to prove his case, and Tech was blown away when Kaliko proved just that. Tech would bring Kaliko into his "inner circle" which would eventually result in Kaliko signing to the label co-owned by his new found friend.
Since then, Kaliko has often contributed to albums put out by Tech N9ne, be it being featured as a rapper or simply providing background vocals for the tracks on the album. Although the largest portion of his work is that of his collaborations with Tech, he has also performed similar tasks for fellow labelmates Kutt Calhoun, Skatterman & Snug Brim, and Prozak. Other collaborations include tracks with the Kottonmouth Kings, Potluck, E-40, and Twiztid.
His debut album, Vitiligo released in May 6, 2008, charted on several Billboard charts including peaking at number 19 on the Top Independent Albums in the week of May 28, 2008. In the same week, he peaked at number 167 on the Billboard 200.
His second studio album, Genius, was released on July 14, 2009.
Krizz has chosen the title Shock Treatment for his third studio album. Other titles he considered were "Son of Sam" and "Walk on Water."
Krizz Kaliko is married and has a son, both are mentioned in his music.
He also suffers from the disease, Vitiligo, a skin disorder characterized by smooth, white patches on various parts of the body caused by the loss of natural pigment. Several of these patches are clearly visible on his face. He would later use the name of the disease he suffers from as the title for his debut album. Krizz has also been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. On his second album, he titled one of the tracks after the disorder.

Money over there
Money over here
Money over there
All night and all day
Pull up in a '96 whoop de whammy
8-1-6 boyz got that grammy
She can't stand me
Rollin' up and hella boom
Screamin' like a banshee
Get the arab money, that's (Abu Dhabi)
Keep a hand in case they (try to rob me)
Tryin' to get the paper, tryin' to(cap that money)
Drivin my scraper around like (a Bugatti)
Abu dhabi is good but too much
We keep it everything hood that we touch
I like it, I love it I want some more of it, I say
Don't know Abu Dhabi but you gon' learn today
[Chorus]
Look out, Im on my (Abu Dhabi)
I'm like "oooh" that's (Abu Dhabi)
All night and all day
My Life is all Abu Dhabi
Are we oh we cain't be baby
They be hatin' lately
Maybe cause I made a crazy statement
When I'm off the lac gold back
And the range I be holdin'
New crocodile skin hangs on my soles when
I'll be slidin through the function
Like a Spike Lee movie
On my Kansas city
Ice tea
Excuse me, you must be from Ireland
Cause every time I see you my penis is doublin
MVP? Check nigga
2 years in a row? Check nigga
A Wayyne verse? Check well?
Techs got it, my nigga
Abu dhabi im good
All I need is a check nigga
Money family royalty
Most of all is respect nigga
[Chorus]
Pause. Check Twitter, it's trending
Real DJs are ahead and start spinnin'
I know it's the fifth time everyone has requested
But don't be a bitch like the Grinch who stole Christmas
Abu Dhabi, it means its all good
Wishin' Abu Dhabi is like wishin a nigga would
"I can't be Abu Dhabi", means I can't be touched
If you got me Abu Dhabi you got me fucked up
Woo woo, woo woo, woo! For the family
Sha-shake, sha-shake shake ya ass hottie
Wanna see ya hands up in the party
Now that, now that's (Abu Dhabi)
[Chorus]
A! B-U D-H-A-B-I!!
Ay! The crew, he pay nay, he die
Play! Me through, DJ make me fly
Away! Yeehoo 'cause we H-A-P-P-Y!!!
Humm du la la love my skril la la la
Well, some milla, yes, I fell you mama
Some after some everyone wants to come a la la
For ya dolla-la-la
Yes! Whore let my money entrigue ya
I go money crazy cigor like libra
Dough in my jeans make me lean like Pisa
So when you see me say Abu Dhabi, my nigga
[Chorus]
The song Abu Dhabi by Krizz Kaliko is about the pursuit of wealth and the desire to flaunt it. The hook of the song emphasises this point by saying 'money over here, money over there, all night and all day'. The first verse describes the rapper's expensive taste in cars and clothes, and the envy he receives from those around him. He also mentions the alluring Arab money in Abu Dhabi and the need to protect oneself from potential robbery. The chorus repeats the phrase 'I'm on my Abu Dhabi,' which means that the singer is living his life to the fullest and luxuriating in the abundance of his financial resources. The second verse continues with the theme of showing off one's riches, from 'lac gold back' to 'crocodile skin' shoes. The bridge includes a reference to Twitter and the popularity of the song, as well as explaining 'Abu Dhabi' as a state of mind where everything is all good, happy and luxurious.
Overall, the song is a message to listeners that money and wealth can bring happiness and contentment but also can lead to envy and jealousy. It reflects society's fascination with materialism and the desire to flaunt one's wealth.
