I'm a grown man in my 30's....my mama is STILL ALIVE, but here I am, up at 6 in the morning, just hearing these lyrics, to this melody and it's got me crying and fighting back tears just imagining her being gone. I honestly don't know how I'll handle it when the day comes. Every word in this song directly describes my mama. She has always given us love and encouragement and she used to cook us breakfast/dinner almost every day. To this day, she still tries to cook for us every time we go to her house. I'll be sure to call her later today and let her know that I love her.

Yesterday, January 20, 2021.....makes 2 years that I lost my queen to cancer. This is one of my all time favorite songs for my mama. Sitting here at my mama's graveside listening to this song and the tears won't stop falling. I loved this song even before she passed away. 11 years ago on 3/31 and at times I still feel as if my heart is ripped from my chest and can't breathe. I love you mama.

Wow this is my first time hearing this song and it's hard to see through my tears. My mother passed away 4 months ago. Long story short, her drs told me almost 9 years ago to start planning her funeral. I'm her oldest son and she was not only my mother but she was my father too as well as my best friend. The drs called a meeting between myself and hospice. During the meeting, the hospice lady told me that they would make mom comfortable in her transition. That word transition stuck in my head. I resigned from my computer engineering job and brought my mother home. Mom couldn't walk or talk. She had a trach in her neck. I learned how to clean and maintain that and she was on dialysis. My mother lived 9 years after being given 2 weeks. God is a miracle worker and she is truly missed. Thank you for that beautiful song. Blessings and love, Gabriel

@@bluebuddhaexotics_llc It's definitely not too personal. I had to constantly pray because remember I said that I resigned from my job so the bills kept coming. If I never knew that there were a God up above, I definitely know it know because it was hard but now that I look back, God always made a way. Learn as much as you can about your love ones condition and be that rock for them. I didn't know anything much about sick people but I learned how to take care of mom's trach, her medication (32 pills a day) her Dialysis and all 9 of her doctors. In about a year my mom walked again. The drs were amazed because they counted her out but God had other plans. Every day past those 2 weeks that they gave mom was a blessing. Don't get me wrong, I still cry because my heart is hurting but I know that she is in a better place. She thanked me before she passed away for taking care of her and not putting her in a nursing home. I told her that it was my pleasure and if I had to do it all over again, I WOULD. She smiled and closed her eyes.

I just found this song last night because I lost my mom on 01/10/22 unexpectedly. I just saw her a month ago when I went back home to visit in Mississippi. We talked, laughed, and smiled together. My mother passed away December 2nd 1994. The next day we are in the car the radio is playing this song and I busted out crying and lost everything my composure cannot hold it back anymore. Nobody ever heard of the song nobody ever heard of who they were. So I started calling the radio station and found out who it was. I don't know if they ever put out a song before this but I'll tell you one thing this is the most beautiful song yes it is heart-wrenching but it is nice to know that people love their mother so much that they would make a song. I remember when I first played this song in the house my mother asked “who is this singing this song, I like this song” I told her NIIU and she loved it ever since. In 2010 my mom passed My mother ask me to play this for her when she passed and I did🥺😥😢😭😢EVERY TIME I hear this song I break down and cry 😭 it’s doesn’t matter where I am, I can’t contain myself. Recently I was shopping in a store and the song came on I had to put whatever I had in my hand (in my cart) down and leave because the tears kept rolling down my face and I couldn’t get it together. This song is extremely powerful and it speaks to me more than anyone else. When I’m at home I don’t mind listening even though I know it’s going to make me cry, I don’t care cause at least I could cry 😭 and get it out cause I’m at home .

Beautiful song! Never heard it until today 4/22/22 2 days before my deceased Mother Birthday. I've been going through it this week crying because I MISS MY MOMA!!!!! She died on November 28, 2021 while I was in the hospital with COVID. It broke my heart into millions of pieces when the policemen called because my baby girl had found my Mother dead in her apartment laying in bed. And since I was the oldest sibling able to handle things(baby sister was in hospital in a coma and my baby brother was in jail). I had to discharge myself and go see for myself because it was hard to believe because we all had just video chatted the day before. Still to today it hurts but I stay strong for my daughter's, nieces, and grandchildren's. Lost my one & ONLY nephew back in August of 2021 and we ALL were still processing that. Then my Moma...it's hard but I just keep on Praying and Trusting God through it ALL 😭😭😭😭😭

25 yrs after hearing this played at my granny funeral and it still brings on hot tears of the raw energy from my mother and family members alike back to me as if my granny passed yesterday (1916-1995) and I’m still that same 9y/o!
