Valentin started his musical career with a djembe gifted by his parents to him at the age of five. Valentin grew up listening to rock and roll classics with his father, including The Who and The Kooks. Discovering a passion for electronic music in his teenage years, Kungs became interested in melodic sounds and crafted timbres led by a dominant vocal. By the age of seventeen he had begun creating melodies using his own instruments. Valentin then began sharing remixes across online social networks. His remixes of "Jamming" by Bob Marley and the Wailers and "West Coast" by Lana Del Rey featuring new vocals from Molly both reached several million plays on SoundCloud and YouTube. Kungs's remix of Lost Frequencies' "Are You with Me" achieved more than 16 million views on YouTube. He released his first extended play This Girl in 2016 following his remix of Cookin' on 3 Burners "This Girl", which reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart in 2016. He has since released a single called "Don't You Know" featuring Jamie N Commons.

But keep the change 'cause I've got enough
A little time and some tenderness
You'll never buy my love
No other thing that's as precious to
No other! There's no other!
And a heart that's real and a heart that's true
Wooh!
Take my hand
Or take over
Take my hand you
Or take over
Take my hand you
Or take over
Take my hand
Or take over
These presents don't really come for free
Your paychecks don't mean that much to me
Just take my hand and hold me tight
You'll never buy my love!
You buy me this and you buy me that
To win over! Win me over!
You got me wrong and that's a fact
Somethin' that you've got to notice
Will you realize when I'm gone
That I dance to a different song
Will you realize when I'm gone
That I dance to a different song
It's a shame but I've got to go
Wooh!
Take my hand
Or take over
Take my hand you
Or take over
Take my hand you
Or take over
Take my hand
Or take over
The lyrics of Kungs's song "Milos" express a clear message of the value of real love over material possessions. The opening lines, "Money rains from the sky above, but keep the change 'cause I've got enough," suggest that the singer has accumulated enough wealth, perhaps through inheritance or hard work. However, this does not make her immune to the seductive power of love, but she asserts that you can never buy it with money. She emphasizes that she values time and tenderness over material gifts: "A little time and some tenderness, you'll never buy my love."
The song also highlights the importance of being genuine and authentic in a relationship: "And a heart that's real and a heart that's true, Somethin' that you've got to know this girl." The singer is looking for someone who is sincere, someone who won't try to impress her with flashy gifts, but instead will invest in building a true connection.
As the song continues, the singer makes it clear that she is not interested in someone who is just trying to win her over with material possessions. "Your paychecks don't mean that much to me, Just take my hand and hold me tight, You'll never buy my love!" The singer defies traditional gender roles and implies that she does not need a provider to take care of her. She is looking for a partner who will hold her tight, emotionally connecting with her on a deep level.
In the end, the singer explains that she will leave if her partner does not understand her true value, "Will you realize when I'm gone, That I dance to a different song, It's a shame but I've got to go." The song encourages listeners to prioritize authenticity and emotional connection over materialism.
