Falling Down
Kyng Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Drift the parts ? why you ? away
Shadow reigns, ? looking for an ?
Now rise upon this ? it's coming around

You'll never see me falling down,
You'll never see me falling down,

Open eyes, close the door and state your case
? a name, tell the worlds that you left in a haste
Did you think if you ? you would never become ?
You pay ? as your own, ? it's coming around

You'll never see me falling down,
You'll never see me falling down,

I'm not the one, save your life
Ignorant to think that I would do that
I put you to shame, I left you undead
The body's holding on
The heads that you ? the pillars are fell
And all because of me

You'll never see me falling down,
You'll never see me falling down.

Overall Meaning

In Kyng's song "Falling Down," the singer speaks to someone who has wronged him and tries to find redemption for their actions. The song begins with the line "Drift the parts, why you away?" which suggests that someone is missing or gone. The next line, "Shadow reigns, looking for an?" is a question that suggests the singer is looking for answers to what happened to this person. The next line, "Now rise upon this, it's coming around," implies that something is about to happen, possibly a confrontation or a reckoning.

The chorus of the song contains the repeated line, "You'll never see me falling down," which is a statement of strength and defiance despite the situation. The next verse opens with the line "Open eyes, close the door and state your case," which suggests that the person who has wronged the singer needs to speak up and explain themselves. The next line, "? a name, tell the worlds that you left in haste," suggests that the person needs to own up to their actions and not run away from them. The line "Did you think if you ? you would never become ?" is incomplete, but it implies that the person made a mistake or did something wrong that they thought they could get away with.

The final lines of the song are: "The heads that you ? the pillars are fell / And all because of me." This suggests that the singer has taken action against the person who wronged him, possibly causing them to lose their position or status. The overall message of the song is one of strength and resilience, with the singer refusing to be brought down by someone else's actions.

as far as I'm concerned, Clutch should be opening for them. Strong words yes, and I've been a Clutch fan since 94.
