Bikini Gold

As I stopped to breathe exhaust
From the tail pipe
Wearing nothing but my cut-off blues
And gold bikini, chain in the moonlight
I couldn't hide my smile from you
As I watched you struggle out from under
You tried to drive
But I kicked the steering wheel
With my little feet
You're a nice man
And I am a na na na nasty girl, yeah
You're a nice man
And I am a na na na nasty girl
Spin me 'round, kiss me in your Chevrolet
I can help us make a clean getaway
Prеtty girls can hoist a bank robbery
'Cause I know I got Jesus watching ovеr me
I love you more than I have ever loved anyone
You know I want to show you
That life can be so much fucking fun
When you're mine, when you're mine
When you're mine, when you're mine
I couldn't hide my smile from you
As I watched us sway in between lanes
You know there's no better sight than
A nosedive in the ocean, triple drains
You're a nice man
And I am a na na na nasty girl
You're a nice man
And I am a na na na nasty girl
The lyrics to Lana Del Rey's song "Bikini Gold" tell the story of a woman who is unapologetically herself and embraces her wild, rebellious nature. She describes wearing nothing but her cut-off blue jeans and gold bikini, standing out as she breathes in the exhaust fumes from a car's tailpipe. Despite her unconventional appearance, she cannot hide her smile as she captures the attention of a "nice man."
The singer takes pleasure in challenging societal norms and defying expectations. When the man struggles with the responsibilities of driving, she deliberately kicks the steering wheel with her little feet, symbolizing her desire to disrupt the status quo. She is unafraid to assert her power and be seen as a "na na na nasty girl" in contrast to the man's niceness.
In the chorus, the lyrics shift to a declaration of love and a desire for adventure. Lana Del Rey sings about being spun around and kissed in a Chevrolet, suggesting a sense of freedom and excitement. She hints at the possibility of engaging in illegal activities, such as bank robbery, but sees herself protected by Jesus. This juxtaposition of danger and faith reflects the character's willingness to embrace both sides of her nature.

I couldn't hide my smile from you
I couldn't suppress my happiness when I was with you
As I stopped to breathe exhaust
Pausing to inhale the toxic fumes of the city
From the tail pipe
From the exhaust pipe of a vehicle
Wearing nothing but my cut-off blues
Only donning my denim shorts
And gold bikini, chain in the moonlight
And a shiny golden bikini, glimmering under the moon's radiance
As I watched you struggle out from under
Observing your difficulty in escaping
Little hands that cover up your eyes
Small hands trying to shield your vision
You tried to drive
You attempted to take control of the vehicle
But I kicked the steering wheel
Yet I disrupted your control by kicking the steering wheel
With my little feet
Using my small feet to cause the disturbance
You're a nice man
You possess kindness and decency

And I am a provocative and rebellious girl
Spin me 'round, kiss me in your Chevrolet
Revolve me, embrace me in your Chevrolet car
