When this album came out.. I was already a fan of Larry C (Put it Where you Want it etc .. when he was playing with the Jazz Crusaders) I have to confess.. in 1978 I was still experimenting with LSD. When I put this beautiful album on my then stereo system (back then in 1978).. the beautiful notes.. chords.. nuances and just everything that I was hearing, was (and still does) would create a rainbow of colors of sound (coming out of the speakers) that only my deepest mind could somehow comprehend. We are truly blessed to breathe the same air of such a special Musician. I have been playing along (all these years on drums) and Room 335 and Rio Samba still take everything I can give. But if I had those songs down (still working very hard) .. I still would not be done.

Raskolnikov

Warren Haines turned me on to this album when he was 19 years old, playing in a band called Ricochet! They were playing in my town of Venice, FL and we partied pretty hard with all the guys in the band. Even loaned them a power amp when one of theirs crapped out. Warren and a couple of the road crew guys came to my bands warehouse, and played with my band, and I knew right then, that I was jamming with someone who was going to be famous some day! Something I'll never forget!

I was blessed to listen to this song late at night on Kjazz.
