the story so far
Harry Lemon aka LEMON8 has been at the forefront of dance music both as a DJ and producer, whilst producing a soundtrack of a generation at the same time. Model8 - his first ever produced track - is now being recognized as a landmark in techno and minimal. As such it earned itself a re-release on Richie Hawtin's Plus8 after 14 years, acknowledging Harry as on of the godfathers of minimal techno.
Throughout the years his music is known for bridging gaps and crossing boundaries between genres and is being played from an amazing array of dj's like Danny Tenaglia, Tiesto, Danny Howells, Armin van Buuren, Richie Hawtin and Sasha just to name a few. Today, Lemon8 is widely recognized as a major influence in Electronic Dance Music.
Following the second progressive wave, late 1999, he managed to create an almost entirely instant recognisable genre within a genre with a formidable output of quality tracks and remixes. The 'Inner Sanctuary Sessions' album, consisting solely of Lemon8 productions, proved the fact that he's not only an outstanding producer, but an excellent DJ as well. It even won him the 'Cool Award' in 2003 for Best Album as voted by Cool Magazine readers in South America where he came out on top beating John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiie and even Coldplay. Today the album is being regarded as a true classic and still very much sought after the world over.
As a DJ he became a household name, playing the most influential clubs and festivals worldwide including Amnesia, Spundae, Ministry Of Sound, Pasha, Nature One, Dance Valley, Mansion and God's Kitchen. His eclectic approach towards quality dance music is best appreciated during his sets. Lemon8 gigs are almost everywhere sell out events and often turn into 8 hours of dance floor bliss creating a vast amount of dedicated fans throughout the world.
In 2004 his Bandung Records was the first label to join Armada Music. Focusing on quality rather then quantity, releases have been sparse but very successful, gaining a loyal fan base worldwide. At present, the new 'Disco Demon Series', are claiming rave reviews both by press and colleagues, regardless of style. Meanwhile, his new '8-track mind' radio show is getting great accolades worldwide, again leaping boundaries and showcasing what the 'Lemon8 Seal Of Quality' is all about.

For those who are interested: Only 996 copies are pressed of this red vinyl version. (1st pressing). The 2nd pressing was purple(ish) marble; about 500 copies. So very rare ;-) Recorded in 1992, released on Basic Energy (Holland) in 1993 (NRG003). Re-released in 1997 with new remixes (Basic Energy) and in 2006 (Plus8/M_nus) in it's original but remastered version. HL

This is a masterpiece referring to the simple but genious composed building up to its climax.....

Excellent, thanks for the comment and more importantly, thanks for this track in the first place! I have loved this since the original release and paid a good few quid for the red release back in arounf 1994 or so - I had been trying to get a copy for at least a year prior to that as it was frequently played here in Dublin by the likes of Justin Robertson. Really great tune, thanks again!
Attila KemΓ©nyfi
Great tune you could play it today at any Boiler Room party and it would stand out!
