Lena’s earliest exposure to music was through her father, who is a well-known musician in Russia. Born and raised on the songs of Queen, Pink Floyd and Roxette, Lena was classically trained on piano from the age of seven. In 1999, at the age of 14, Lena was cast in the new music project t.A.T.u. which marked an impressive change in her life. Throughout her 10 years with t.A.T.u she has toured over half the world doing concerts. Lena has performed on a large variety of ranging from circus rings and clubs in Moscow, London and Paris to the stadiums Tokyo Dome and Wembley. Despite t.A.T.u.’s undeniable success – both creatively and commercially – including many worldwide chart topping hits such as "All The Things She Said", "Not Gonna Get Us" and "All About Us", Lena Katina recently started to press forward as a solo artist.
Still extremely ambitious, Lena decided to return to the US in 2009. There she began work on her first solo record together with her musicians, who turned out to be great songwriters as well. In 2009-2010 this creative team managed to record a dozen songs which were first presented to the public in May 2010 at Lena’s first solo gig in the legendary club Troubadour (Los Angeles).
After this memorable performance two others followed: in June 2010 Lena headlined at PrideFest in Milwaukee and in September she packed San-Francisco’s 1015 Folsom. At both solo shows Lena Katina – an electrifying front woman with melodic pop rock tunes – showed her soulful music filled with romantic lyrics and catchy hooks perfect for the clubs. In September 2010 Lena was invited to perform at The Billboard Magazine Party in Moscow where everybody could see why fans and followers have been falling for her in the first place: a thrilling voice that can be recognized amongst thousands. After Lena’s 10 years in music, it looks like she doesn’t want to stop. “I’ve done a lot in t.A.T.u. and now it’s the perfect time to find and show who I really am”, Lena shares. She now splits her time between her native city of Moscow and LA, the perfect place for making music.

When I start breaking down, with my strength running out
When I'm searching, falling, drowning
When I am blinded by the dark
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You know me inside out
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You love me inside out
You lift me out
Tell myself all the time don't be scared, you'll be fine
When your world fall apart, hold on to your dreams, dont give up
Searching, fighting, hoping
When I am blinded by the dark
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You know me inside out
You lift me out
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You love me inside out
You lift me out
Searching, fighting, hoping
When I am blinded by the dark
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You know me inside out
You lift me out
I feel you all around, I feel you all around
You love me inside out
You lift me out
The lyrics of Lena Katina's "Lift Me Up" express the feeling of being lost and alone, as well as the struggle to hold on and keep going. The song's themes relate to the idea that even in our darkest moments, there is always someone or something that can uplift us and provide us with hope. The lyrics consist of two main verses that describe the emotional turmoil and desperation of the singer. The chorus follows a repetitive pattern emphasizing the presence of someone around them that knows them inside out and lifts them up no matter what.
The first verse is mainly a description of the singer's struggle and feelings, referring to moments of losing faith and strength. The second verse, on the other hand, consists of advice given to the self, reminding them not to give up and hold on to their dreams, despite the world falling apart. The chorus then reinforces the idea of feeling someone's presence that lifts them up from the darkness.
The song's message is clear and relatable, providing a sense of comfort and hope to anyone who is going through a difficult time. It encourages listeners to hold on to hope and to remember that there is always someone who loves and supports them. The melody and vocals add to the emotional impact of the song, making it a powerful ballad that speaks to the heart.

Don't confuse the stage image with reality. This is a traditional orientation. She is married and has a child. And you can put your LGBT values where they belong. I'm hinting: a place below the back.
