And I'm so proud when we walk down the street.
And I know it's crazy to worry like I do.
But I get this feelin' that I'm losing you.
I get these suspicions even though
I know that you love me, baby,
and I really shouldn't feel this way.Suspicions, I can't help it you're just so good lookin'
I'm afraid somebody's gonna steal you away from me.
When I go out to a party with you
You always turn every head in the room.
And I just know what's on every man's mind
I try to fight it, but it gets me sometimes.
I get these suspicions even though
I know that you love me, baby,
and I really shouldn't feel this way.
Suspicions, I can't help it you're just so good lookin'
I'm afraid somebody's gonna steal you away from me.
When I'm with you, I feel so satisfied.
The way you touch me when you lay by my side.
And that look you get in your eyes when we love
Makes me hate myself for what I'm thinkin' of.
I get these suspicions even though
I know that you love me, baby,
and I really shouldn't feel this way.
Suspicions, I can't help it you're just so good lookin'
I'm afraid somebody's gonna steal you away from me.
I get these suspicions even though
and I really shouldn't feel this way.
Suspicions, I can't help it you're just so good lookin'
I'm afraid somebody's gonna steal you away from me.
The lyrics of Lenny Williams's song Suspicions tell the story of a man who is insecure about his relationship with his lover, despite knowing that she loves him. He is proud to be with her, but also feels a sense of unease and suspicion that he might lose her to someone else. He can't help but feel jealous and insecure when he sees other people admiring her beauty and charm, even though he knows that she is faithful to him.
The lyrics suggest that the man is struggling with his own insecurities and fears, which are causing him to doubt the sincerity of his lover. He is torn between his feelings of love and his anxieties about losing her, which creates a sense of tension and conflict in their relationship. The repeated refrain of "suspicion" echoes his internal struggles, as he tries to come to terms with his own insecurities and overcome his fears.
Overall, the lyrics of Suspicions offer a poignant reflection on the complexities of love and relationships, and the insecurities and fears that can sometimes undermine them. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of trust, communication, and self-awareness in building strong and lasting connections with others.
