When Lil B titled his last digital label released mixtape I'm Gay, he received several death threats. Although he is heterosexual, he says the title is a message of support to the LGBT community. Referring to the alternative definition of gay, he says he is gay because he is happy. Following the death threats, he added "I'm Happy" in parenthesis to the album's title. I'm Gay received positive reviews with many fans commenting on the album's wide variety of positive messages and noting the unique beats and lyrical styles not common to mainstream hip hop. He raps about many controversial issues including race relations, poverty, humanity, and the justice system. The album also, according to many fans, shows the "true" side of Lil B. It entered the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart at #56 and the Heatseekers Albums chart at #20 for the week of July 16, 2011. It is for sale on iTunes but Lil B also uploaded it to the Internet for free, posting a link to it on Twitter and Facebook saying, "for all my fans who don't have $10 to buy my album, here it is for free."
Lil B typically releases at least one mixtape every month; so far in 2012 he has released 13 mixtapes - 4 in July alone. One of those released in July was the massive 848-song, nearly 5GB collection of Based Freestyles, which is his largest release to date. In 2013, hip-hop listeners voted Lil B as the greatest rapper of all time.

Lyrics taken from rapgenius.com.
In Lil B's song "Bill Bellamy," the artist boasts about his criminal past and present. The hook repeats the phrase "I got [number] felonies, bitch I'm Bill Bellamy" with increasing numbers each time. Bill Bellamy is a reference to the famous comedian and actor, likely used here to connote a sense of humor and bravado about the subject matter.
The first verse has Lil B threatening someone who is "going shopping" while Lil B spouts absurd lines about his Armenian girlfriend, making her "360" (which could be interpreted as either turning around or being killed by a gunshot), and referring to himself as R. Kelly before saying he will "fuck her in the ass." This is all linked to his criminal persona, as he asserts his dominant and threatening position in the situation.
In the second verse, Lil B raps about the different geographical affiliations of gangsters and his personal affiliations with the Bitchmob and being a "pretty boy." He also mentions having a gun and being ready to shoot when put under pressure, referencing former NBA player Robert Horry's memorable clutch shots during his career.
Overall, the song is a tongue-in-cheek ode to Lil B's criminal record and his ability to navigate and thrive in the world of street violence and gang culture. The use of Bill Bellamy's name adds an element of humor and cultural reference to the song's subject matter.

Lil B is real, he really cares about people and appreciates life. I remember watching some videos he made back in 2009 talking about the worls, uniting people, and he started crying. This guy is real and has my respect, can't wait to meet him, and collab with him in the near future, #nbs
