That poor elderly man, my grandfather is exactly the same. He is 83 and so sick but still lives at home thanks to me and my grandmother, but he is always falling and hurting himself, so we have this huge first aid kit for when we have to clean him up and he just keeps on going with his life. We need more younger men like these. Bless his heart, going on a date, so cute.

I’m now 60 but spent my teens as a junior lifeguard down my local beach, the South Foreshore in South Shields, a seaside town on the Northeast of England Coast. Not quite the same weather except for the heatwave of 76, which lasted the whole of the school holidays and although I wasn’t allowed to rescue anyone was the best time of my life.

Australia day for Bondai seems to be similar to spring break in Miami or Palm Springs. Just a crazy amount of young people drinking and trying to have as much fun as possible.

@Matt Holston I guess it's a time issue, too? I understand the concern, but until they get a stretcher, and get that over the rocks, and put the boy on it, and get back over the rocks, a lot more time will pass than when they put him on the board.

I have no sympathy for some of these swimmers, they wanna swim in a dangerous rip thats their fault doesnt matter theres a sign up they just dont read or listen to the lifeguards, they deserve everything they get, the lifeguards are out there risking their lives to keep people safe but people just dont wanna listen.
