Born on the outskirts of São Paulo, in a poor area of the East Zone, she was raised in the interior of São Paulo, where she spent her childhood and adolescence in the cities of Votuporanga and São José do Rio Preto. She was raised by her aunt, within the Jehovah's Witness religion, and at first she thought it was wrong to be LGBT, but when she realized that this was her truth, she faced many prejudices from the family and the religious community when she came out as homosexual. She later came to identify herself as a travesti (english: transvestite). She abandoned her religion, left her mother's house and returned to the city of São Paulo. At this time, she began to dedicate herself to various branches of art, performing in nightclubs, in performance shows. She also devoted herself to music, singing in bars in the area. She often refers to herself as "fag, trans, black and peripheral. Neither actor nor actress, atrocious. Performer and gender terrorist." In 2021, she rectified her documents, officially changing her name to Lina Pereira dos Santos.

Eu não sei fazer justiça
Não sei como faz justiça

Eu não sei fazer justiça
Não sei como faz justiça
Eu não sei fazer
Eu não tenho coragem de enfrentar nada
Não tenho coragem de enfrentar nada
Não tenho coragem de enfrentar
Eu não tenho coragem de enfrentar nada
Não tenho coragem de enfrentar nada
Não tenho coragem de enfrentar
Tenho que enfrentar a violência, a grosseria
E ir à luta pelo pão de cada dia
Sou advogada de defesa

In "Medrosa," Linn da Quebrada explores themes of fear, hypocrisy, and the struggle for justice. The lyrics reflect a sense of self-awareness and vulnerability, as well as an acknowledgment of the singer's limitations and insecurities.
The first verse describes the singer as "medrosa" (afraid), "cínica" (cynical), "covarde" (cowardly), and "sonsa" (deceitful). These adjectives convey a negative self-perception, suggesting that the singer may feel inadequate or lacking in certain qualities. The repetition of "eu não sei fazer justiça" (I don't know how to do justice) emphasizes the singer's uncertainty and lack of ability to bring about fairness or righteousness.
The second verse continues the theme of self-doubt and inability, highlighting the singer's lack of courage to face anything. This repetition of "não tenho coragem de enfrentar nada" (I don't have the courage to face anything) further emphasizes the deep-seated fear and timidity within the singer's character. The repetition serves to reinforce this message and express the singer's struggle with confronting challenges.
Moving forward, the lyrics introduce the idea of having to confront violence and rudeness and advocating for oneself. The singer identifies as a "defensive lawyer" and a "lifeguard," suggesting a role of protection and support for others. However, despite these roles, the singer still admits to not knowing how to do justice. This line suggests a sense of powerlessness or frustration, as the singer lacks the knowledge or means to bring about true justice.
Overall, the lyrics of "Medrosa" delve into the vulnerability and self-doubt of the singer. They reflect a struggle with fear, a confrontation with personal limitations, and an awareness of the complexities of justice and advocacy. The repeated phrases serve to reinforce these themes, highlighting the singer's ongoing internal conflicts and quest for understanding and empowerment.
