1) Lionheart is a B… Read Full Bio ↴There are several bands with the name Lionheart:
1) Lionheart is a British hard rock supergroup formed in late 1980, originally featuring singer Jess Cox (ex-Tygers of Pan Tang), guitarist Dennis Stratton (ex-Iron Maiden), guitarist Steve Mann (ex-Liar, later with MSG, Michael Schenker and Eloy), and bassist/vocalist Rocky Newton (ex-The Next Band, Wildfire), and drummer Frank Noon (ex-The Next Band, Def Leppard). The band split up in 1986 but reformed in 2016 with a line-up featuring Stratton, Mann, Newton, plus vocalist Lee Small (Shy and Phenomena) and Clive Edwards (ex-UFO and Wild Horses) on drums.
2) An Alternative Rock band from Hertfordshire, England. Their eagerly anticipated first album, I Need To Shout, is soon to be independently released.
3) The second was a Rock Against Communism band also hailing from the United Kingdom which was founded in the late 80's and existed into the mid 90's.
4) Lionheart is one of U.S.A.'s leading ensembles in vocal chamber music. It is best known for its interpretation of medieval and Renaissance a cappella music, with Gregorian Chant as the keystone of its repertoire.
5) A Russian melodic power metal band.
6) Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, Lionheart are at the forefront of the new breed of hardcore monsters.
Clearly influenced by NYHC and rooted in “mosh core”, Lionheart have enough technical ability and metal influence to also appael to a broader range of aggressive music fans. “The Will To Survive” was originally released by Sacramento’s West Coast Worlwide in late 2007, and quickly sold over 1,000 copies with no retail presence or distribution at all, solely via mail order and through the band during their rugged tour schedule.
Following in the foot steps of Northern California bands like Hoods and Powerhouse, the band has built an intensely loyal grassroots following. Lionheart’s lyrics deal with strength, pride and growing up in a world with no handouts.
It will be only a matter of time before Lionheart are mentioned along with bands like Terror, Hatebreed and Madball.
Lionheart is:

Welcome to the west coast, what you banging, this is LHHC
I started this band in 2004. Give a fuck about a label, I just wanted to tour
And yeah, I had a dream: "I wanna see the world"
And this music took me places I'd never been before
God damn yeah, in 2008 toured with Skarhead and Bulldoze and they showed us the way.
First time on the East Coast and can't forget they showed us love but couldn't wait to get back out West
Welcome to the west coast, where we at, we at Northern California
Welcome to the west coast, what you banging, this is LHHC
Now three albums later, I've still got love for the scene
From Europe to Japan and back and everywhere in between
Shout out to everyone who stuck by us through and through
And Northern California, god damn it we love you
Welcome to the west coast, where we at, we at Northern California
Welcome to the west coast, what you banging, this is LHHC
From the basements, to the stage. Through it all, we stood tall, we made our own way
The lyrics to Lionheart's song LHHC are an ode to the West Coast of the United States, and more specifically, Northern California, which is where the band originated from. The opening lines of the song establish the setting and assert the band's identity. The lyrics also speak to the band's origins and journey from their formation in 2004 to their current state, three albums later. The band started without any aspirations to be signed to a record label, but with a desire to tour and see the world. Music became the vehicle for the band's travel, allowing them to explore new places they never had before. The tour with Skarhead and Bulldoze in 2008, mentioned in the song, was a pivotal moment in the band's journey - it was their first tour of the East Coast and was a meaningful experience that propelled them to continue their journey.
Another theme in LHHC is the importance of community and loyalty to the scene. The lyrics acknowledge the support and dedication of the fans who have been with the band throughout their journey. The band has toured extensively, and they've made lasting connections with people from all over - the US, Europe, Japan, and beyond. But at the end of the day, Northern California is where they feel most at home and where they love to play the most.
Overall, LHHC is a track that reveres the West Coast and the community that Lionheart has built around their music. It speaks to the band's history and showcases their commitment to their craft and their fans.
