David and Kristofer are from the same village and have known each other since childhood. But it was not until several years later they started talking about making music together after Kristofer had heard David sing at a party. A few weeks later, they began to record and they quickly realized they had something special going on. Four songs were recorded in a four-month period, and everything just flowed. Unfortunately, the band now had to take a one year break while David studied at a design school in Singapore. This turned out to be a good thing in the end because it meant that Kristofer had plenty of time to write new material for the upcoming album. As soon as David came back home, they started recording the new songs and their first album "Marching To Our Own Drummer" was released on October 20, 2008.
They both share the love for electronic and alternative music. Both rock/pop bands like Depeche Mode, Placebo and the Swedish heroes of Kent as well as more dance orientated artists like The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Daft Punk. This is reflected in their music which is a great mixture of rock/pop and dance music, mainly with a modern sound but with obvious influences from the 80's!
Regrets
Liquid Core Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can't stop crying tonight
Can't stop denying the fact
That you have left me for good
Try
Trying to stop the fight
The fight between heart and mind
The fight to hide the feelings and memories that you have left behind
Free at last from the loads of my past
With too much to forget and thousands of regrets
Never again I will take that way
We
Played a game we couldn't win
But I'm not the one to blame
Everything you said and done had the touch of sin
I'm
So tired of this pain
It breaks me down and torch a flame
Burning inside but I know it's all in vain
Free at last from the loads of my past
With too much to forget and thousands of regrets
Never again I will take that way
Free at last from the loads of my past (of my past)
With too much to forget and thousands of regrets
Never again I will take that way
Free at last from the loads of my past (of my past)
With too much to forget and thousands of regrets
Never again I will take that way
In the song "Regrets" by Liquid Core, the lyrics explore the raw emotions and aftermath of a broken relationship. The singer is overwhelmed by their feelings of sadness and denial, unable to stop crying and grappling with the fact that their partner has left them for good. They try to put up a fight between their heart and mind, struggling to hide the lingering memories and emotions left behind by their departed lover.
The chorus highlights the singer's journey towards liberation and self-healing. They express a sense of freedom from the burdens of their past, acknowledging the weight of regrets that they must let go of. They vow never to travel down the same path again, understanding that it only leads to heartache and pain.
The verses reflect on the dynamics of the failed relationship. The singer emphasizes that it was not solely their fault, acknowledging that both they and their partner played a part in the downfall. They dismiss any blame that may have been placed on them, asserting that everything their partner said and did had a touch of sin. The pain they experience is deeply exhausting, breaking them down and igniting a flame within. However, they recognize that despite the intensity of their emotions, it is futile and in vain to hold onto the pain.
Overall, "Regrets" delves into the complex emotions experienced after the end of a relationship. It addresses the struggle to let go, the desire for liberation from past mistakes, and the realization that dwelling on regrets only hinders personal growth and moving forward.
