He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 3, 1986, to Robin Polite and Lloyd Polite Sr. His father died when he was at the age of two, and he moved with his mother and older sister Brandy to Atlanta, Georgia.
Lloyd was discovered by Joyce Irby in 1996 and at the age of 14 was in the pre-teen group N-Toon, alongside younger brother Chuckie. The group won Nickelodeon's cancelled show Double Dare 2000 against No Authority, and the group was signed to DreamWorks Records. Although two singles were released ("Ready" and "Shoulda Been My Girl"), their debut album Toon Time went unnoticed due to a lack of promotion from the label. The group eventually disbanded, and Lloyd began shopping around for a solo deal. He was soon signed to MCA Records with his first single to be "Young Girl". Unfortunately, as MCA Records dissolved into its parent company, Geffen Records, many of the artists on its roster were let go, including Lloyd. However, using "Young Girl" as a demo, he landed a new recording contract with Irv Gotti at The Inc./Def Jam Records.
"Southside", a duet with label mate Ashanti, became Lloyd's debut single and an R&B hit. The video was number one on BET's 106 & Park, where Lloyd and Ashanti performed the song live. The follow-up single was "Hey Young Girl", which wasn't as successful as "Southside". His childhood friend Ciara was in the video, and he is in the video of her hit "1, 2 Step". Both singles appeared on his 2004 debut album, titled Southside, which performed relatively poorly. A third single was never announced. After that, Lloyd appeared singing hooks on singles for label mate Ja Rule on "Caught Up" as well as on rapper Tango Redd's "Let's Cheat". He also made an appearance in R&B singer Sammie's video "You Should Be My Girl".
In 2006, a newly-recorded track titled "You" surfaced, featuring Lil Wayne (an alternate version featured Tango Redd). The single gained airplay on BET Late and it was #1 on 106 & Park. Lloyd's second studio album, titled Street Love, was released on March 13, 2007. The second single "Get It Shawty" was also very successful, reaching the top twenty on the pop charts. By the time the third single "Player's Prayer" was released, interest in the album had diminished. and with lack of promotion the song proved to be unsuccessful.
Lloyd's third album Lessons in Love was released in August 2008. The song "How We Do It (Around My Way)" was promoted as a single in early 2008, but only appeared on select versions of the album. "Girls Around the World" was the next single, another collaboration with Lil Wayne.
Lloyd has made guest appearances on television shows, most notably on the hit show One On One, an episode of Wild 'N Out on June 21, 2007 and on a show called Gotti's Way on VH-1. In an interview Lloyd indicated that he has about twenty tattoos, which include a picture of his father, the logo of his company Young Goldie Music and a "rebel baby angel".
2. Lloyd was a Christian modern rock/pop group who blended vocals with acoustic and electric guitars. Lloyd was formed when two original members of the rock/funk/pop group "Imagine This" teamed up with a new guitarist (who also was with I.T. for a time) and bassist to form Lloyd. The name change is necessary as Lloyd strays quite a distance from the Imagine This.

I-I-I-I can make your bed rock, girl (Kane is in the building, nigga)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock
I-I-I-I can make your (bed rock)
Uh, the got that good good, she Michael Jackson bad
I'm attracted to her, with her attractive ass
And now we murderers, because we kill time
I hate to see her go, but I love to watch her leave
But I keep her running back and forth, soccer team
Cold as a winters day, hot as a summer's eve
Young Money thieves
Steal your love and leave
I like the way you walkin', if you walkin' my way
I'm that Red Bull, now let's fly away
Let's buy a place, with all kind of space
I let you be the judge, an-an-and I'm the case
I'm Gudda Gudda, I put her under
I see me with her, no Stevie Wonder
She don't even wonder, 'cause she know she bad
And I got her nigga, grocery bag
Ooh, baby
I be stuck to you like glue, baby
Wanna spend it all on you, baby
My room is the G-spot
Call me Mr. Flintstone I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock, girl (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your (bed rock)
Okay, I get it
Let me think, I guess it's my turn?
Maybe it's time to put this pussy on ya sideburns
He say I'm bad, he probably right
He pressing me like button downs on a Friday night
I'm so pretty like
Be on my pedal bike
Be on my low starch, be on my eggo whites
He say, "Nicki don't stop, you the bestest"
And I just be coming off the top, asbestos
I love ya sushi roll, hotter than wasabi
I race for your love, "Shake'n Bake" Ricky Bobby
I'm at the W but I can't meet you in the lobby
Girl, I gotta watch my back, 'cause I'm not just anybody
I seen 'em stand in line, just to get beside her
I let her see the Aston, and let the rest surprise her
That's when we disappear, and you need GPS to find her
Oh, that was your girl? I thought I recognized her
Ooh, baby
I be stuck to you like glue, baby
Wanna spend it all on you, baby
My room is the G-spot
Call me Mr. Flintstone I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock, girl (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your (bed rock)
She like tanning, I like staying in
She like romancing, I like rollin' with friends
She said I'm caged in I think her conscience is
She watching that Oxygen, I'm watching ESPN
But when that show end, she all on my skin, lotion
Slower motions, roller coastin'
Like back forth hold it (hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it)
She pose like it's for posters, and I poke like I'm suppose to
Take this photo if you for me, she said, "Don't you ever show this"
I'm too loyal and too focused
To be losing and be hopeless
When I spoke this she rejoiced it
Said your word get me open, so I closed it
Where your clothes is? I'm only lovin' for the moment
Uh, she ain't got a man but she's not alone
Miss Independent, yeah, she got her own
Hey gorgeous, um, I mean flawless
Well, that's what you are, how I see it is how I call it, yeah
L-Look at how she walk, mm-hmm, she know she bad
D-Do your thing, baby, I ain't even mad
And I ain't leavin' fast, I'ma stay a while
Hold ya head Chris, I-I'ma take her down
Ooh, baby
I be stuck to you like glue, baby
Wanna spend it all on you, baby
My room is the G-spot
Call me Mr. Flintstone I can make your bed rock (ooh) (Young Money, yeah)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock, girl (ooh) (Gudda Gudda, T-Streets)
I-I-I-I can make your bed rock (ooh) (Mack Maine, J Millz)
I-I-I-I can make your (bed rock) (Tyga Tyga)

The lyrics to "Bedrock" by Lloyd Ft Lil Wayne & Drake depict a confident and flirtatious approach to relationships and intimacy. The repeated phrase "I can make your bed rock" is a metaphorical statement implying the ability to provide pleasure and satisfaction. The song is filled with playful lyrics that highlight the artists' charm and self-assurance when it comes to attracting and satisfying their love interests.
The opening lines talk about the artists' ability to create a pleasurable experience, and they compare their love interest's attractiveness to Michael Jackson. They metaphorically refer to themselves as murderers, suggesting the way they can "kill time" with their love interests. The artists express their appreciation for their love interests' physical attributes and how they can make them shine even more. The lyrics also touch on the artists' ability to keep their love interests coming back for their attention, drawing a parallel to a soccer team constantly running back and forth.
In Lil Wayne's verse, he showcases his wordplay by referencing various pop culture icons like Stevie Wonder and the Flintstones, alluding to his own ability to provide pleasure. Nicki Minaj's verse adds a touch of playful sexuality, with references to her being attractive like wasabi and her racing for love like "Shake'n Bake" Ricky Bobby. The song ends with different artists from the Young Money label expressing their appeal and their confidence in being able to satisfy their love interests.
Overall, "Bedrock" is a sexually charged and confident song that portrays the artists' prowess in providing pleasure and satisfaction to their love interests.
