He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 3, 1986, to Robin Polite and Lloyd Polite Sr. His father died when he was at the age of two, and he moved with his mother and older sister Brandy to Atlanta, Georgia.
Lloyd was discovered by Joyce Irby in 1996 and at the age of 14 was in the pre-teen group N-Toon, alongside younger brother Chuckie. The group won Nickelodeon's cancelled show Double Dare 2000 against No Authority, and the group was signed to DreamWorks Records. Although two singles were released ("Ready" and "Shoulda Been My Girl"), their debut album Toon Time went unnoticed due to a lack of promotion from the label. The group eventually disbanded, and Lloyd began shopping around for a solo deal. He was soon signed to MCA Records with his first single to be "Young Girl". Unfortunately, as MCA Records dissolved into its parent company, Geffen Records, many of the artists on its roster were let go, including Lloyd. However, using "Young Girl" as a demo, he landed a new recording contract with Irv Gotti at The Inc./Def Jam Records.
"Southside", a duet with label mate Ashanti, became Lloyd's debut single and an R&B hit. The video was number one on BET's 106 & Park, where Lloyd and Ashanti performed the song live. The follow-up single was "Hey Young Girl", which wasn't as successful as "Southside". His childhood friend Ciara was in the video, and he is in the video of her hit "1, 2 Step". Both singles appeared on his 2004 debut album, titled Southside, which performed relatively poorly. A third single was never announced. After that, Lloyd appeared singing hooks on singles for label mate Ja Rule on "Caught Up" as well as on rapper Tango Redd's "Let's Cheat". He also made an appearance in R&B singer Sammie's video "You Should Be My Girl".
In 2006, a newly-recorded track titled "You" surfaced, featuring Lil Wayne (an alternate version featured Tango Redd). The single gained airplay on BET Late and it was #1 on 106 & Park. Lloyd's second studio album, titled Street Love, was released on March 13, 2007. The second single "Get It Shawty" was also very successful, reaching the top twenty on the pop charts. By the time the third single "Player's Prayer" was released, interest in the album had diminished. and with lack of promotion the song proved to be unsuccessful.
Lloyd's third album Lessons in Love was released in August 2008. The song "How We Do It (Around My Way)" was promoted as a single in early 2008, but only appeared on select versions of the album. "Girls Around the World" was the next single, another collaboration with Lil Wayne.
Lloyd has made guest appearances on television shows, most notably on the hit show One On One, an episode of Wild 'N Out on June 21, 2007 and on a show called Gotti's Way on VH-1. In an interview Lloyd indicated that he has about twenty tattoos, which include a picture of his father, the logo of his company Young Goldie Music and a "rebel baby angel".
2. Lloyd was a Christian modern rock/pop group who blended vocals with acoustic and electric guitars. Lloyd was formed when two original members of the rock/funk/pop group "Imagine This" teamed up with a new guitarist (who also was with I.T. for a time) and bassist to form Lloyd. The name change is necessary as Lloyd strays quite a distance from the Imagine This.

I've come to talk about this girl that had my love, you see
I went away for a while and
She gave my love away, and
I really shouldn't blame her
But now, that pussy is a stranger
Baby (haha)
Yeah, your pussy done changed, it ain't the same, girl
And that's a shame (a crying shame, baby)
Ooh, ain't being funny (mm-mm)
I know another bee's been in that honey (damn)
Ooh, babe, that pussy done changed (pussy done changed)
It's such a shame (pussy done changed)
Girl, and that's a shame (haha)
(Who the hell you been giving my loving to, girl?)
(No, no) Tell me where that pussy gone
(No, no) Yeah, 'cause it don't feel the same no more
I miss that pussy, that pussy
That pussy, that pussy, yeah
No, no
Why you do me like that, baby?
(No, no) why is this happening to me?
(No, no) She told me that it was my pussy
I miss that pussy (my pussy), that pussy (that pussy)
That pussy (good pussy), that pussy (that pussy)
That pussy, haha
(No, no) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
She (ugh)
She used to be a really special lady (my everything)
I guess she's feeling kinda freaky lately
It's such a shame, 'cause now, the pussy's changed
Mm-mm-mm (that pussy changed, yeah, yeah, yeah)
She used to squeeze me (hoo)
Grip me tight enough so she could please me
But now, now, now, that pussy changed (pussy done changed)
It's such a shame (pussy done changed)
That pussy changed, no, oh
(No, no) Where did your pussy go? (Where it's at, baby?)
(No, no) Mm, 'cause girl, I need to know now
I miss that pussy, that pussy
That pussy, that pussy, now (ha)
(No, no) You see, it was on some old, "one of a kind"-type shit, baby (yeah)
(No, no) I'm about to kill this bitch (oh)
(No, no) She gave away all my shit
I miss that pussy (this pussy), that pussy (new pussy)
That pussy (I miss that), that pussy (ol' pussy)
(Yeah, no, no) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Dang, darling, do change your oil
I'm your number-one fan-belt, they are not important (ugh)
I don't use a cordless microphone, avoid them
They don't feel real to me-meaning, "real woman"
Others peeled on me (Yeah)
You the primer on the lim'-bean-green box when I couldn't afford a Ford (c'mon)
Clean socks scooting 'cross the floor in your
Grandmama house (ow), hand on your mouth
You yap too much about the penny-ante
This mechanic's so uncanny, X-Men, X-Men
Your ex-boyfriend should thank me that I took you off his hands (haha)
Know I can't bring another beach to the sand
And know I am well aware that you can bring a man to his knees
And get what you need without saying "please," but
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat
And they gon' put this man's Grammys on the street?
What? Why so quiet?
Hate that all of our memories happened in a Hyatt?
You were perfect before you went on a diet
You was way thicker, you think I don't remember
Shit, the magazine got to your head
Now, somebody you don't e'en know got you in bed
Bet your buddy don't e'en know you don't like red
Or was it fuchsia? Fuck it, our future is dead (yeah)
(No, no) I thought a pussycat had nine lives, man (I need to know)
(No, no) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (haha)
I miss that pussy, that pussy
That pussy, that pussy
(No, no) That pussy (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
(No, no) I'm about to kill this bitch
(No, no) She gave away all my shit
I miss that pussy (my pussy), that pussy (that pussy)
So if you see her
That pussy (that pussy), that pussy (my pussy)
Let the bitch know I'ma kill her when I see her, yeah, hahaha
(No, no) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Hahaha, yeah
I miss you, girl
Fuck that bitch, hahaha
The lyrics to Lloyd's song Dedication To My Ex are about a man who left his girlfriend for a while and while he was gone, she cheated on him with another man. The man is upset that the woman gave away his love and is now a stranger to him. He also comments on the fact that her "pussy done changed" and she is no longer the special lady she used to be. He misses her and wants to know where the love went wrong.
The lyrics in this song are a reflection of gender stereotypes and contribute to the stigmatization of women who have multiple sexual partners. The song's lyrics reinforce the idea that men must control and possess women's bodies, including their genitals. The song also perpetuates toxic masculinity by glorifying aggression towards women who do not comply with men's expectations.
