Tierra Nueva
Los Paranoias Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hoy me río junto a ella, no me hace llorar
Si regresar no pudieras te voy a extrañar
Corriendo hacia otro lugar, Tierra Nueva
Vive algún sueño imposible y vuelve a soñar

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song Tierra Nueva by Los Paranoias are about a person who has gone through some changes and is warning someone to not look for them in the lonely school or land of the past because they have moved on. The person's smile is different now and they are laughing with someone who makes them happy. The lyrics suggest that the fire within them is still burning and they are in the process of moving forward.

The lyrics mention the idea of a new land or place called Tierra Nueva which the person is running towards to find someone to fly with. They mention a voice in the shadows that scares them and a tear in the wind that gives one more day. The lyrics go on to say that joy exists and is ready to fly, dreams can be impossible at times and the person is hoping for a new day with many more to follow. The person's doors are opening and the other person is welcome to come in.

There are a few different interpretations to this song's lyrics. The first interpretation would suggest that the person is undergoing changes in their life which means they are not the same person as before. They are growing and evolving but still have joy in their life. The person may want to leave behind the past and find someone who will give them new opportunities. On another note, Tierra Nueva could also be interpreted as someone's new beginnings, a place where they are starting fresh and moving forward.
