Ellas lavan, ellas lavan ..
The song "Limpia el Amor" by Los Pericos talks about a group of women who engage in illicit activities by seeking out affairs with men in their small town. The song describes how these women go from window to window seeking out men's attention while their husbands are away working. However, the code of secrecy they operate under is only known to them and no one else in the town is aware of their activities. The women are trying to purge their sins by engaging in these activities and there is a sense of urgency to their actions as they fear getting caught.
The lyrics indicate that there is a sense of desperation among the women as they are reaching out to men for attention, and that they are doing so in secret. The lyrics also suggest that there is a lack of trust or intimacy within the relationships in the town and that the women are left to their own devices as their husbands are away working. The fear of getting caught is palpable throughout the song, and it highlights the risk and danger that these women are taking on.
Overall, the song is a poignant commentary on the complexities of human relationships and the different ways in which people seek affection and validation, even if it may not be the norm in their society. It speaks to the idea that people can have different motivations for their actions, and that sometimes people may turn to illicit behavior when they feel powerless or trapped within their own lives.
