1) Lost Years is Magnus Larson from Avesta, Sweden. His enthusiasm for the 1980s, red wine and collecting Roland synthesizers has landed him a permanent spot on the Rosso Corsa Records roster. His music ranges from charming surprises to soundtracks for bad-ass newscasts. Both of these different sounds remain cohesive within the Lost Years aesthetic through the use of real 1980 synthesizers. Magnus has been professionally making 1980s-inspired music since 2008. Before he started collecting Roland synthesizers, Magnus spent his time playing guitar in the 80s punk and 90s hardcore scenes.
2) Lost Years is an alternative/punk rock band from Indiana, USA, formed by three friends in 2010. Since then the group has released one Acoustic LP through Capeside Records which led to Lost Years winning the Ernie Ball Battle of The Bands Acoustic Basement and being featured on the Indianapolis date of the 2013 Vans Warped Tour. In addition, Lost Years have released three full length records including the new album ‘Wish You Weren’t Here’, released in February 2023.

The phrase "Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed" refers to the name of the spot where the lunar module landed, and "the Eagle has landed" was Armstrong's code for a successful landing. The subsequent exchange between the astronauts and mission control highlights the level of tension and excitement during that historic moment. The phrase "You've got a bunch of guys about to turn blue" indicates the level of stress as they were running low on oxygen, which had to be replenished in order for them to survive. Lost Years is easily at the Forefront of the Outrun Genre of Synthwave!! Breacher is Incredible!

Those guys and others like Perturbator and Dan Terminus, are mainly producing what is known as Dark Synth or Hard Synthwave. Some are calling it Slasherwave as well, due to the Horror and Satanic Themes some of the guys are using now days. But they are mixing styles of Synthwave as well.
Outrun is mainly categorized by those producing faster Synthwave with arpeggiated synths, and dynamic leads, with a dark edge, and is suited best for driving in your car, on your motorcycle, etc... Hence the term Outrun, from the Sega Game of the same name. A lot of these guys are producing a mix of styles though. Lost Years creates a mix of Outrun, Dark Synth, and stuff on the popper side of Synthwave.
Dance with the Dead's faster stuff like Dancing on Air, Cobra, Her Ghost, Thrasher, and Diabolic; are definitely a hybrid of Outrun and Dark Synth. You nailed it on that one!! But then listen to their song Watching You. It's still Outrun, but it's poppy and uplifting; which is rare coming from them.

The movie is called Life-force. I haven't seen it myself, but I think its about Space Vampires that suck people's life force out instead of blood. The girl at the end was one of them!
