I'm over thinking thoughts
Being thought again
Trending topics are romance
Finance and friends
I'm not scared enough
By the world outside
But that's just life
Heartbreaks, mistakes I've made
I'm learning new things every day
It's too much
When there's not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
It's too much
Not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
I'm kind of tired and that's probably the reason why
My brain is thinking me out of my mind
And I've worried a lot about where I'll be
Ten years from now I hope I'll be happy
But right now it's
Too much
When there's not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
Too much
Not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
It's too much
When there's not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
Too much
Not enough
In the glass that appears to be half full
But I can't fill it up
The lyrics to Lower Than Atlantis's song "High At Five" are an introspective reflection on growing up and the struggles that come along with it. The singer is on their way home, overthinking their thoughts and worrying about the future. They note that the world outside doesn't scare them enough and that they are growing up, which sucks. The trending topics of romance, finance, and friends are also on their mind, reflecting the pressures that come with adulthood.
The singer then transitions into discussing their personal experiences with heartbreaks and mistakes, but notes that they are learning new things every day. Despite this growth, the singer still feels like it's "too much" and that there's not enough in the glass that appears to be half full. They're tired and worn out, and they worry about where they'll be ten years from now. But ultimately, they hope to be happy.

I love this band, & there's such a contrast in one album to the other... This one is more rhythmical & has some good harmonising vocals yet the other has embraced the real post-hardcore side of them with the screaming. Love it.
@woodster1994
the whole song is amazing, but the bridge is just perfect! :)
