Luke singing this song means so much to me. This song in general means so much to me. Im not a huge fan of Mayday Parade, I only know a few songs, but I heard this song one day and I thought it was really good. So, I looked at the lyrics and started reading into them. I do this weird thing where when I hear a song sometimes I feel like I have to look at the lyrics and see what they mean. When I say see what they mean, I intend what they mean to me.

Of course, lyrics mean something different to everyone. I feel like this song explains how I feel when it comes to talking to people or my "friends".

The first bit of the chorus means the most to me. " Cause Jersey just got colder and I'll have you know I'm scared to death That everything that you had said to me was just A lie until you left". This is how I feel whenever someone is talking to me. Do you ever get a compliment from somebody and feel like they're lying? I get that feeling almost every time, and it kind of sucks. Hence the 4th line, a lie until you left. I feel like the chorus explains everything I feel so perfectly. It kind of explains all my insecurities of not being good enough or that people at just lying to me.

The second bit of the chorus finished off the 'story' being told. "Now I'm hoping just a little bit stronger Hold me up just a little bit longer I'll be fine, I swear I'm just gone beyond repair." This is all about trying to fix yourself with alternatives, but they at just making it worse. When you feel like you can't be fixed at this point.

Im not going to talk about the verses because then we'd be here all night, and no one will read it anyways. I could write a paragraph for every song line, but I won't.

But one last thing: Thank you, Luke. I don't think at 15 years old it would even cross Lukes mind that he would make a 12 year old girl cry 6 years later. I'll never be able to tell him this, and that kind of sucks, but theres nothing I can do about that. This is all too long to tell him in person, and there's even more to this that I just didn't type out. I still want to that 15 year old Luke for making me cry. I know, not something you would want to be than me for, right? But it's the fact that this song means EVERYTHING to me, and I mean EVERYTHING... So the fact that Luke Hemmings sang this song makes me so unbelievably happy. I love 5sos and all of the members. I knew like did covers, and im way too young to have known about them when he made them, but finding it now means so much to me its just something I can't explain. Thank you, Luke. Thank you, 5 seconds of summer.

so I was doing I bit of stalking on the comments of this video and here's what I found:

the fans that commented on this video when it had just been posted mostly commented things like, "his voice is amazing and he has so much talent etc." and now the majority of the comments now are about his looks and that sort of upsets me. I know that Luke is really good looking, but I feel like this is the reason why people look down on our fandom. it spreads the message that all we care about is their looks and not their music. I think that all of us should make more of a deal about their amazing talents (have you seen them absolutely KILL their instruments during their shows?!!) instead of how they look. :)

Reading all the comments on this video made me cry because the 5sosfam is amazing and is always here for me when I'm not at my best. 5sos became famous, I wasn't here from the beginning and it makes me sad but I'm here for 2 years now and they've done more for me in 2 years than anyone else in my life. When I'm sad I just listen to their music or watch their keeks videos, interviews etc and I automatically feel better. There are a lot of fake fans since slsp but we know who is from the real family. I've been with the guys since this very video. It's funny that older girls call me a fake fan when I've probably been with the guys longer then them. I'm twelve now. When I heard SLSP on the radio, I didn't know it was 5SOS, but when I saw the music video on MTV, I cried my eyes out. I am so proud of the guys. What sucks is that just because of my age, I can't be a true fan. Come on! I've been with these guys the whole time, and these girls have the audacity to say I'm a fake fan. Okay, the first song that I heard by 5SOS was SLSP and I am a little ashamed because I didn't know them before that and there are people who are saying "unlike SLSP where there's a bunch of 10 year old little girls saying 'i only liek the blonde one'". I'm 12 (which to me is very close to 10) and it hurts a little that some think that the younger fans are fake. I'm looking through the cover videos and I'm tearing up a little because, honestly, these covers, and the emotion that is put into them, brings tears to my eyes. When I listen to a new band, I listen for meaningful lyrics, lyrics that I can use to express my thoughts and feelings. Listening to this cover and hearing the emotion in Luke's voice made me cry because this song holds a lot of meaning to me.
I love all of 5SOS equally, I have no favorite (though when my friend asks me this question I say Ashton because he's all the way in the back and he has the cutest little dimples). I assure you I'm not a fake fan.

Although I feel like I've known about the boys longer, these covers are actually my life. I always vote on Twitter and support them. Honestly i'm so proud of this boy. If he wouldn't of had the determination to follow his dreams, i would probably sitting in my room hating life. So many bad things have happened in my life, but these boys bring so much happiness to me, and give me a reason to keep going. Without them my life would seem pointless. They've taught me that it's okay to be different and if anyone thinks otherwise then f them. They inspire me so much, and i am eternally grateful to them for that.

I remember being in the fourth grade and just being my little self and watching videos. I stumbled on one of these videos and I was pretty happy because I thought this boy was really good at singing! Looking at myself now and seeing this in eighth grade makes me sad. A lot can change in four years.

Even though I haven't been there from the beginning I've gone through and seen all if the old 5sos videos. The fact that it only took them to just post a couple videos on YouTube is amazing. They have come so far and they get so much hate forward the stupidest things. You can definitely see the difference in them from then and now and I can just imagine them going back and watching they're videos maybe even scrolling through the comments from today all the way to 3 years ago and just smiling because they've made so much progress and their true fan believe in them. I'm just happy I took interest in them because they have definitely helped me and I'm sure they've helped a lot of other. I mean for heavens sake they all went through alot as a kid an I'm sure what they're trying to do is just make everyone they can happy. I'm just amazed and I'm very proud of these 4 boys who just decided one to make a band because them making this band is one of the awesomest things in the world.

Still to this very day Im in love with these 4 boys. They've changed me, knowing how much they have been through and looking at them now, there living there dreams. There touring around the world, changing peoples lifes. 6 fucking years of being with these idiots. Looking back at Luke's old videos and all the drama he's going through right now just shows me how much they've grown up and don't give a fuck. Looking at these videos and looking at the recent ones really fucks me up. It shows me of how mush they've grown up. Shows me that you can change someone lifes with just the touch of music. I suffer from depression and anxiety, I get depression for no reason and I get anxiety once in a while. But these boys changed me, the boys mad me happy. I love them, yes I'm going to there concert and yes there changed. I still miss Calums blonde tips, and Ashtons bandana, Lukes lip ring and quiff, and Michael's long hair and brown piercing. They changed and they changed me along the way. Whenever I get sad or emotional or just think all I have been through. I just listen to there music and see how much they've changed. Me and my friend are really into music and were kinda of a band but no one listens to out music. We've been to talent shows but no one really likes the music. But they give me hope. Hey shoe me that I can live my dream, it's just not going to come right away. Just to think ' wow Im never going to get noticed by them ' yes I know I'm not but I just dream about everit every single fucking day. I really want to meet them, I really want to know them personally but I know it's not going to happend. We all love these boys. And we have watched them grow up. I miss the old them, but nothing is going to stay the same. I love these 4 idiots from Australia and they have changed me.

I just started listening to them like a year and a half ago.Yes, I realize that's when they were getting much bigger and just before they released SLSP and their album but I actually took the time to come back and see their beginning. Honestly I love being part of the 5SOS family. Y'all are so funny and awesome. I wish I could have known about them from day one but social media didn't necessarily work out for me in that department. Their journey has been so amazing they just seem like great friends even though that possibility is one in a million. But yeah I love y'all your so funny!
