Now I'm old enough to answer why
I can see the cracks as they appear
You said the truth is they were always there
I have built my house upon your stone
Any rock can turn to sand you know
With the wind, the rain, the joys erode
You have taught me how to shelter home
Because you love you love you love
While it all falls down
While it all falls down
You love, you love, you love
While it all falls down
You was supposed to be from high above
And to teach me all I need is love
And that death will never catch me up
If I bow my head and pray enough
But you love you love you love
While it all falls down
While it all falls down
You love, you love, you love
While it all falls down
While your house is filled with plaques of fear
I don't find the faith has disappeared
It only waits within a rubble of tears
To grow, to grow, to grow
And you love you love you love
While it all falls down
While it all falls down
You love, you love, you love
While it all falls down.
The lyrics of Luke Sital-Singh's song "You Love You Love" speak of a deep appreciation for a parental figure, who has been a rock and a shelter in times of trouble. The song begins with the singer acknowledging that it has become easier for him to see the parent in question cry, because he has grown up enough to understand the reasons behind the tears. The cracks in their relationship are unavoidable, as the parent confesses that they were always there, but still, the love and support that the parent provides is never-ending.
The next verse seems to be about the singer's religious upbringing, where he was taught that all he needed was love, and that death would not touch him if he prayed enough. While this may be true to some extent, the singer has come to the realization that it is the love and support of his parent that has been the constant throughout his life.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "you love, you love, you love" while acknowledging that life can be tough and things may fall apart. The love and support of the parent seem to be the foundation that the singer can rely on, even when everything else is crumbling.
The last verse speaks of the fear and anxiety that the parent may have experienced throughout their life, but the singer finds comfort in the fact that their faith has not disappeared, and is only waiting to grow amidst the rubble of tears.
Overall, "You Love You Love" is a tribute to the selfless love and support offered by a parent to their child, and how this love can become the cornerstone of the child's life.
