Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “the best band you’ve never heard of,” Luna blended nuanced guitar work, shading dynamics, and Wareham's wry wit. The original line-up was expanded with the addition of guitarist Sean Eden for their second album, 1994's Bewitched. Lee Wall replaced Demeski on drums in time for 1997's Pup Tent, and Britta Phillips of The Belltower (also known as the singing voice of animated character Jem) joined when bassist Justin Harwood departed in 2000. They played their final concert at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on February 28, 2005. Phillips and Wareham became romantically involved and eventually married in 2007. After reforming for tour dates in 2015 and 2016, Luna announced plans for two new recordings to be released in 2017.

Formed on the ashes of the new wave band La Strada and getting the name by the Bernardo Bertolucci film La Luna, Luna quickly gained the public's attention and established a cult status. Owing to Marko Brecelj, a former Buldožer member, who had approached them after a performance in Rijeka, Zoran Bulatović "Bale" (guitar), Slobodan Tišma (vocals), Ivan Fece "Firchie" (drums) and Jasmina Mitrušić "Mina" (keyboards, vocals) got the opportunity to release their debut album. The album was critically well acclaimed and is considered one of the finest releases of the former Yugoslav rock scene.

Luna Lyrics

And it tears me apart
I hold my heart
Ready to be slain
You turn your back so easily and you
Feel no pain
Don't even look to see my heart bleeding in vain
So I ride you like a rollercoaster
Going up
Going down I
Think I've lost my hold on you while
Going around
Your days are dark and lonely and it
Takes you away
I try to capture you each time before its too late
I never succeed
Always somehow in the wrong
You expect me to understand what you never
Say
So I ride you like a rollercoaster
Going up
Going down I
Think I've lost my hold on you while
Going around
Wait until the fire goes out
Wait until the fire goes out
Wait until the fire goes out
Then I come back for more
(I come back for more)
(I come back for more)
(I come back for more)
So I ride you like a rollercoaster
Going up
Going down I
Think I've lost my hold on you while
Going around
And I ride you like a rollercoaster
Going up
Going down I
Think I've lost my hold on you while
Going around, going around
Running around again
Running around again
Running around again
Luna's song "Rollercoaster" is a nostalgic blend of words and sounds that take the listener on a ride through the memories of an amusement park. The song begins with the mention of a rollercoaster and bumper car, evoking the thrill and excitement present in an amusement park. The lyrics then mention ghosts at the wax museum, stinking drunk just like a bum, and a cyclone at the house of freaks. These lyrics feel like they are references to darker or more bizarre themes that may be present in a park. The second chorus of "Rollercoaster" repeats the first with the addition of "get me up," indicating a desire to experience that thrilling ride again. The song ends with "That's it," suggesting the ride is over, and the memories remain.

Brilliant addition for the top of the hill at Liseberg. Absolutely love the interaction it has with all the other rides.Wonder if it may be a bit too thrilling for the younger ones due to it being on top of the hill but never the less it's a very smart addition.
FABH Adventures
It really is exactly what the park was missing – a middle coaster as a step up from the kiddie coasters for the ones that are not tall enough yet for their bigger coasters. And the interaction with the other rides is so cool – if you sit in the back se get an great view of the park from the top of the lift hill.
Faavu
Great POV! I really like that Luna is located beautifully on top of the hill and it looks like a fun and exciting roller coaster even though it is a family coaster.
FABH Adventures
Thanks a lot! When you come here next time – you have to try a front row ride. It is surprisingly good!
Theme Parks of America
I wish I could go to Liseberg and ride Luna but the problem is I don't have a passport and I live in the United States so until I can get a passport, I won't be able to go

@Theme Parks of America Are passports expensive in in the US? In Sweden they cost 39 dollars.

Going to ride Luna later this year, the setting looks great and that spike looks quite steep for a family coaster
FABH Adventures
Make sure you get a front row ride. The view over the park is amazing and the spike gives really good airtime

Vekoma family boomerangs look very good. Yes, they don't offer the intensity or pacing of other coasters, but they have some solid airtime and offer a thrilling experience for thoosies
