Nathan Barlowe has been writing songs and playing in bands since the age of 14. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career and immediately began to make his mark on the music scene. After graduating high school his younger brother Cary made the move to Nashville to join Luna Halo. "I taught him 4 chords before I left, and 2 years later I couldn't believe how good he was. There was no choice...he had to be in my band", says Nathan.
After adding a rhythm section, the band would enter into what would be years of writing, recording, and touring which saw them play hundreds of shows, to thousands of people in 10 countries. This period would bring about a developmental deal with Dreamworks Records which soon folded , an ill fated deal with Interscope, a stint at Warner Brothers, before finally being signed by Rick Rubin to his American Recordings label (Black Crowes, Slayer, Jonny Cash). In the fall of 2007 the self titled "LUNA HALO" (American/Columbia), was released to critical acclaim. Produced by Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan), and executive produced by Rick Rubin himself, Luna Halo had crafted an Alternative/Pop record full of memorable songs.
These songs would go on to be covered by country sensation Taylor Swift, and used by numerous film and television shows including The Hills, The O.C., American Idol, Ghost Whisperer, American Teen, as well as being the theme song for the NHL playoffs and the hit TV series The King of Queens.
As the band forges ahead while navigating the ever changing ebb and flow of the ocean that is the music industry, there is a new sense of urgency and commitment. They have recently added drummer Jonathan Smith, a long time friend and session drummer, and Swedish import Victor Broden on bass. Both have done extensive touring and are bringing raw energy and passion to the Luna Halo sound.
In the Summer of 2009 they will release a series of 3 EP's that will begin a new era in the way music is recorded and released. "We just want to be able to get the music to the fans in a faster and more direct way. It's our goal to have a constant stream of new music coming out", says Nathan.
With a new approach, and the defiant, never give up attitude that has come to define this band. Luna Halo will be making their mark for years to come.

That fell again
Down on me
It felt like rain
That touched my face
And I can't believe it
Like rain
I can't believe it
The things You said
Seem to find their way back into my head
And I regret my ways
You never left
Remind me once again so I won't forget
You're never far away
It felt like rain
That said again
That it's okay
Pale like white
I close my eyes
'Cause I can't believe it
I can't believe it
The way You forgive me
The verse "It felt like rain that fell again down on me" describes the emotional weight that the singer is feeling. They compare their emotions to rain as they are heavy, overwhelming and relentless. The following line "That touched my face and I can't believe it" suggests that they are surprised by the feeling taking over them. The chorus repeats the metaphor of rain, emphasizing the singer's disbelief of being forgiven by someone they may have hurt.
The second verse begins with "The things You said / Seem to find their way back into my head", implying that the person who forgave them has had a positive impact on the singer's life. They express regret for past actions, acknowledging that they had done something wrong. However, they are reassured by the fact that this person who forgave them "never left" and that they are "never far away". The chorus ends with stating "The way You forgive me", which highlights the significance of this forgiveness in the singer's life.
Overall, "Forgiveness" is a song of confession and redemption. It describes the feeling of being forgiven, and the relief and gratitude that one feels towards the person who forgave them. The rain metaphor throughout the song emphasizes the emotional weight that comes with seeking forgiveness and the healing that comes after being forgiven.
