In March 1993 the band added Santiago Campillo, Pascual Saura, Juan Otero and Iñigo Uribe, under the name 'El clan de los murciélagos', (clan of bats), which soon became 'M-Clan'. The band's sound was heavily influenced by Southern rock artists. The group currently consists of Carlos Tarque (vocals), J. Antonio Otero, Ricardo Ruipérez (guitar), Carlos Raya (guitar), Pascual Saura, and A. Climent 'Boli' (keyboard).
In 1999, the band released Usar y tirar that went platinum, leading to the release of their 2001 Unplugged album Sin enchufe. The band also released Sopa fría in 2004 under Warner Bros and Eastwest Records.

The song "Miedo" by M-Clan speaks about the end of a relationship that wasn't a happy ending. The singer starts by acknowledging that it's the end and even though he wishes it could be different, he knows that there is no turning back. He mentions how he gave his partner fake diamonds and broke her world and heart which is now making his world laugh at him. Even though the relationship is over, he constantly hears her voice before he sleeps, and even in the darkness, she is still the light.
The song delves into the fear of what might come next, especially the fear of returning to the lows he has already been to, of being feared by the person he still loves, of being forced to forget her, of unexpectedly meeting her again and not seeing her anymore. The fear of loving someone that they do not want to love, and the fear of remembering a past love that is now over. The song ends with the singer acknowledging that there is no second chance, and he doesn't know how to forget about her.
