The final Real McCoy album One More Time was released in 1997. Wind produced the album without Hassas' involvement. After Petersen's departure from the group, singer Lisa Cork was recruited into the act by American songwriter/producer Brent Argovitz. Since Kasar was not involved in recording vocals for the album, Cork and Mason sang vocals on the album instead. Jeglitza and Argovitz also worked together as songwriters for the production. The lead single (also titled One More Time) achieved major commercial success in Canada and Australia, but the commercial sales of the album itself worldwide in comparison to Another Night were considered a disappointment. The failure of the album ultimately caused the quick demise of the group's lineup in 1997.
In 1999, an new version of the group's 1990 hit "It's On You" and a new single "Hey Now" was released with an all new group lineup. Both singles failed commercially resulting in the production team permanently breaking up. In the years after the breakup, Jeglitza continued to release new independent singles under the name Real McCoy without Wind or Hassas' involvement.

Down in the streets, after day only the strong will survive
Why take a stand and pass the test
I show you more than the best
So what the hell I'm here to stay
You'd better get out of my way
I'm not afraid down on the streets
Cause I was born to be alive
Come on and show me what you got
Show them all you can fight
Cause down on the street it's hard to survive
Street fight, can take your heart
Cause only the strong will survive
Down on the street
Down
I'm not afraid
Down on the street
Cause I'm a street fighter
Down on the street
Down
I'm not afraid, no !
Down on the street
Cause I'm a street fighter
Street fight in a back
Are you ready to strike back
Street fighter, man to man
Left, right, right, left bang !
Down in the streets, after day I'm back again
I'm here to stay, it is hard to stay alive
Talking rough you'd better fight
Don't run away, don't take a hide
You gotta fight you gotta fight
I'm not afraid, you know I'm not
Come on and show me what you got
The lyrics to M.C. Sar & The Real McCoy's song "Streetfighter" are all about survival in the tough world of the streets. The song's protagonist is portrayed as a born fighter who will not back down in the face of adversity. The lyrics imply that life on the streets is brutal and that only the strong will survive. The song speaks to the idea of standing up for oneself and not letting others push you around.
The chorus of the song reinforces the idea of the singer being a born fighter. He's not afraid to fight and he's not going to let anyone stand in his way. The repeated refrain of "I'm not afraid" reinforces the idea of his unfaltering strength and determination. The song's lyrics are a call to action for others to stand up for themselves and show what they're made of.
Overall, "Streetfighter" is a rallying anthem for anyone who has ever felt like an underdog. It's a song that encourages us to push through adversity and come out stronger on the other side.
