No Grandma! Know Grandma! Gnome Grandma, ahhhhhhhh.

Overall Meaning

At first glance, these lyrics may sound like a random collection of words, but they actually carry a deeper meaning. The phrase "No Grandma!" could be interpreted as a rejection of the traditional roles and values that grandmothers represent in society. It could also represent a desire to break free from the constraints of family and tradition. On the other hand, "Know Grandma!" could be seen as a call to understand and appreciate the wisdom and experience of older generations. The wordplay with "Gnome Grandma" adds a surreal element, perhaps suggesting that our perceptions of reality and tradition are not always what they seem.

Overall, the lyrics seem to be a commentary on the conflicting feelings we have towards our family and cultural heritage. On one hand, we may feel stifled and restrained by tradition, but on the other hand, we may also recognize the value and importance of our elders and the wisdom they have to offer.

@ffejpsycho

I'm guessing that word "S_APGU_DES" in the hangman still-frame (10:28), was "SOAPGUIDES". Like as in those tabloid soap opera fanzines (Soap Opera Guides) you'll find at grocery store checkout tills. I guess that word makes... "some" sense as the target demographic for Merv Griffin daytime game shows overlaps, having the same audience as that of the Daytime Soap Operas.

Also, It is literally the only thing I could come up with after far too much time trying to figure it out...

Also Also, I guess that person's reckless, casual disregard to the foundational rules of Hangman, both of which being structural to the very integrity of the game...

=> Multiple Words separated in proper usage, by a space are not allowed.
=> Slang Words are not allowed.

Also Also Also, his track record of brazenly flouting those specific time honored, Hangman traditions, is likely the origin of how the solutions in "wheel of fortune's" take on the game, expanded to allowing multiple words including "Phrases", "Cliches", or "Idioms".

IT'S TELEVISED ANARCHY! WHY IS NO ONE LISTENING!

CORMAC MCCARTHY'S NOVEL "THE ROAD"...

...IS ACTUALLY HIS PRESCIENT WARNING TO US SHOWING US THE AFTERMATH OF THE INEVITABLE "WHEEL OF FORTUNE" CATACLYSM!

Local TV veteran of 30 years here, you've perfectly explained how TV syndication works (especially from the local station side of things). Sadly, syndication has become mostly judge shows and a handful of talk shows. At least we still have the stalwarts of Wheel, Jeopardy, and Feud.

I still don’t understand it and I watch a lot of tv lol

@Dudley_Fletcher

One thing Wheel of Fortune has going for it it never has given into relying on any kind of crude off color humor as time goes on. It's always remained a highly reliable family friendly show. And Pat has a sharp wit when bantering with the contestants.

@benkizer9509

Pat's puckish sense of humor and never taking it too seriously are a part of his charm. He's not Bob Barker, but I think for a show like Wheel, it fits perfectly.

I like Chuck as a host, but this is now Pat's show and has been for a long time.
