Few artists have the level of success M.O.D.E. have experienced so early in their careers, but it seemed obvious from very early on that these guys were different. A little over 8 months since their inception, and both the industry and clubbers around the world are already hooked on the infectious sound that is unique to M.O.D.E.
Being hassled by the likes of Sasha, Digweed, Prydz, Cattaneo, Lawler, Cox, Garnier, Dubfire, Gerber, Boratto, Fanciulli, etc, etc, on a daily basis for their upfront releases is something the guys are learning to take in their stride, and with various original work for their brand new M.O.D.E. imprint on the way, things are looking good.
Witnessing first hand just how their productions fill a dance floor, it instantly hits home why they are already so heavily in demand. Their tracks combine a cutting edge style that fuses elements of house and techno whilst always containing a sexy low end funk that is devastating sound systems all over the world.
It’s little wonder that John Digweed (who discovered them) chose them to remix the seminal ‘Heaven Scent’ as their debut remix, and they delivered with such precision that the remix is now signed to Bedrock and is one of the main features on John’s ’Bedrock 10’ compilation.
Further remixes for Bedrock, Global Underground, Yoshitoshi, Audio Therapy and Forensic are due for release in the coming weeks, whilst a series of original EPs are being released on their own M.O.D.E. label every 6 weeks through 2009.
As well as the studio time spent producing a new blend of techno and tech house, the pair can also be found dj’ing at numerous venues around the world. Using Ableton, cdjs and EFX their forward thinking sets incorporate their own productions along with the latest and best music from the scene’s finest producers.
So welcome to M.O.D.E. – please take some time out to have a look around, listen to mixes, and become a friend. Most of all please enjoy the music…

The lyrics to M.O.D.E.'s "Signs" speak of a sexual encounter between the artist and a woman. The chorus, which repeats throughout the song, asks the woman to show her peace sign and reveals the artist's attraction to her. The first verse emphasizes the woman's changed behavior and willingness to have sex, while the second verse describes the artist's own qualities and promises pleasure. The bridge lists various physical attributes of the woman before concluding with the chorus once again.
The lyrics depict a typical theme of contemporary rap music - sex, especially casual encounters. The repeated requests for a peace sign suggest the objectification of the woman and the allure of her body parts. However, the tone of the lyrics is celebratory and confident, with the artist boasting of his skills and dominance. The references to Nigerian culture and language add a distinct flavor to the song and demonstrate the artist's roots.

In this world, you're on your own.
Skipping routines = more time to be ready for danger
Basic needs are relative = some aren't as important as others
Going with the flow = not being ridiculed for bad ideas
Anxious events = always being ready for trouble
I'm exhausted because I face the same crap every day
Just because you aren't paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
I've been in therapy for 30 years. If you pick someone to help and they aren't a good fit, toss them overboard and find someone else. No matter what, DON"T TRUST your company's HR department. Be careful who you trust. Run silent, run deep.

As a veteran, “survivor mode” simply becomes the presetting, coping mechanism when you’ve experienced enough in life to know the everything is unstable, & can change instantly, in the blink of an eye.

Thanks for this, because I don’t resonate with having been through ab*se (thankfully) but I moved a lot as a child and didn’t feel my emotional needs met and I’ve ended up with being told by a doctor that I’ve been in a state of constant tension for so long that that’s why now it’s affecting my daily life so much. I resonate with the “survival mode” as in I was and am always aware and ready to fight or flight in a sense which kept making me exhausted and now can even impact me physically even if I’m already aware of this and taking the steps to live more calmly
