I saw Nugent in concert too. It was many years ago but I went to see Kiss and he was on the bill too. To be honest he kicked ass. Although years later and after becoming a vegan I learned what a total asshole Ted is. The reality of who he is as a human being prohibits me from enjoying his music. To this day I still have a hard time turning Stranglehold off when it comes on the radio. Yet I do every time! I loved that song. But there are more important things.........

At the end of the day, they difference is survival and sport. If you kill you survive, I don't think it makes you a bad person. But in this day and age humanity doesn't need to. We can healthily survive without meat. Killing for sport is really fucked up.

Hunting for survival is human, but a true hunter will only kill what his family truly needs. Ted is a sick man. may i ask, honestly what is wrong with hunting, it provides a cheap and renewable food source, we also help to conrtol the populations on the animals we hunt so they do not run out of food, and we give them a fair chance, because we have to hide in their habitat, and they have a major advantage, also if it were not for hunting, none of you anti hunting people would even be here, because that how america thrived because of hunters killing animals for the fur, and meat, this country would be gone

now as to the nutrition provided by a diet consisting soley of fruits and vegetables I would have to call that bunk as you cannot get the levels of proteins vitamins D & A ect ect... from plants as you can from various meats, however everything in moderation because fruits and vegetables as well are very important to a healthy diet, I dont have a problem with a vegan way of life, to each their own and Im glad that it makes you happy, and especially that we were able to debate the matter civily

Because its inhumane to shoot does at a time when their fawns might still be accompanying them. Aqua farms have pumped fish through with chemicals here, and fish also have pain receptors around their mouth and can feel when they are being dragged out of their habitat. That isn't respect. Humans are not carnivores we are actually omnivores. Although both groups are broken up into slight variations, basically true carnivores digestive systems doesn't allow them to efficiently digest plant material. It is only in modern times that humans have chosen to and been able to eat meat in the proportion they now do. There are recent studies that suggest the high rate on cancer in Western Society is a direct result of the disproportionate amount of meat eaten.

the earliest humans were not soley gatherers or farmers but rather were nomads whose basic diet consisted of meat from the animals that they were able to trap hunt or otherwise kill for food... now I will not argue the issue of there being far too many "trophy hunters" these days but in my mind these are the lowest scumbags of the hunting community as they have no respect for the animals or their purpose in the great circle of life, if you will
