Nome de rua
MISIA Lyrics

Nome de rua quieta / onde ? noite ningu?m passa... / Onde o ci?me ? uma seta, / onde o amor ? uma ta?a... / Nome
The lyrics to MISIA's song "Nome de rua" describe a quiet street where nobody walks at night. It is a secret street where jealousy is like an arrow and love is like a cup. The street is also home to the shadow of a poet who suddenly embraces us. The lyrics speak to the bittersweet nature of life, with a dash of sadness mixed with memories of the Madragoa neighborhood of Lisbon. The poet also appears to be in search of something, perhaps a lost love or a deeper sense of meaning in his or her life. The final lines of the song indicate that the poet was given a name of a street in Lisbon, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and remembering the past.
