Rough Diamond
Madleen Kane Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Never been in love before
I was too far behind
Never knew what love was for
I must have been too blind

Now I want to try, with you
Now I want to fly, with you
Never felt the way I do
I'm trembling with desire
When I'm lying close to you
My body's all on fire
And I want to burn, with you
And I want to learn, with you

So take me
Make me
Reach me
Teach me
I'm only rough diamond
Only rough diamond

Show me (Show me)
Know me (Know me)
Hold me (Hold me)
Unfold me
I'm only rough diamond
Only rough diamond
I'm only rough diamond
Take me (Take me)
Make me (Make me)
Reach me (Reach me)
Teach me (Teach me)
Show me (Show me)
I'm only rough diamond

Hold me (Hold me)
Unfold me (Unfold me)
Try me (Try me)
Untie me (Untie me)
Caress me (Undress me)
I'm only rough diamond

Wake me
Break me
Walk me
Talk me
Kiss me
I'm only rough diamond.

Take me (Take me)
Make me (Make me)
Reach me (Reach me)
Teach me (Teach me)
Show me (Show me)
I'm only rough diamond

(I'm only rough diamond)

(I'm only rough diamond)
(I'm only rough diamond)

This first album of here is her best. "Forbiden Love" from her second LP was goog," Cherchez Pas" from her third output also, but the most good songs are to find on the debut album!

Finally listened to this outside of my car… let’s just say I twirled around my room like it was 1970 something! 🎉❤

@MrChristian

I’m so glad to see so much love for this album. This was a first-class production and one of the premier song writing teams in France was hired to write most if not all of the original songs: “Michaële, Lana & Paul Sébastian”

...Madleen's LP (and, image) WAS quintessential DISCO; It was 'Porno-Disco',suggesting a hazy Disco sensuality, with a 'willing' participant...a glamorous, naughty, High-Fashion Model, willing to explore the 'darker' sides of AMOUR...The LP was an 'Import' at the time, until Warner Brothers picked it up for a USA release, and it was INCREDIBLE!! ..I remember this, and "Whistle Bump" (Deodato), were INESCAPABLE, Spring-Summer 1978!!

@dekmusique

Baby when tee Scott. Dropped this at better days NYC .. the lights went black and the folks was up in arms clapoung and singing ..oh the memories ❤
