On ne s'attend pas
Il est des nuits plus longues
Qui nous rongent les ongles
Il est des jours tu sais
On passe à côté
The song ‘Fils de moi’ by Marc Lavoine talks about the connection between a father and his child. It addresses the love and care that a father feels for his son despite the obstacles they may face. The first set of verses talks about the unexpected days and long nights that can be filled with worry and anxiety. The singer also mentions that even though they may be separate physically, they still share the same sun and love each other the same. However, the father is unable to sleep due to the love and worry he feels for his child.
The second set of verses brings attention to the good and beautiful moments they share together, but also acknowledges that there are days where they both struggle. Despite the ups and downs, the father declares his love for his son and his willingness to sacrifice everything for his child's well-being. He knows that it can be challenging to be happy with the weight of mistakes they may carry but ultimately concludes that things will be okay.
Overall, ‘Fils de moi’ is an emotional tribute to the love between a father and son. It highlights the challenges and difficulties they may face but also emphasizes the unconditional love and care they have for one another.
