Um jeito estúpido de te amar
Maria Bethânia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Você me acusa e só me preocupa
In Maria Bethânia's song "Um jeito estúpido de te amar," the lyrics revolve around the concept of love and acknowledging how everyone has their unique way of expressing it. The singer confesses that they have a somewhat "stupid" way of being and speaking, which has the potential to hurt and offend the other person. However, they argue that every individual has their way of loving and protecting themselves. The singer worries that the partner's accusations only worsen the situation and that their flaw is loving too much. They acknowledge that words can be easily misunderstood, but what's important is to recognize that their happy life together is only dependent on them both. The singer expresses their desire to find a way to explain themselves to their partner, hoping they will accept their way of loving.

A sedução me escraviza à você...
E a minha nudez parada, te denuncia, e te espelha...
Eu me relato, tu me delatas...
Eu nos acuso, e confesso por nós.
Assim, me livro das palavras,
Com as quais você me veste."

Aquela virada quase me matou! Linda demais.
