Simplement pour ne pas rien dire
J'étais dans ma tête,
Malgré la tempête,
à vouloir y croire encore un peu.
J'étais dans ma tête,
à nous voir devenir vieux.
Tu cherchais un mal à saisir,
Une raison d'éviter le pire
J'étais dans ma tête,
Malgré la tempête,
à vouloir y croire encore un peu.
J'étais dans ma tête,
à nous voir devenir vieux.
Je crierai de l'amour,
Quand la détresse te rendra sourd.
Et si tu t'en prends à moi,
Mon amour, je ne m'en irai pas.
Tu volais au nord de l'amour,
Trop haut pour parler d'un retour.
J'étais dans ma tête,
Malgré la tempête,
à vouloir y croire encore un peu.
J'étais dans ma tête,
à nous voir devenir vieux.
Je crierai de l'amour,
Quand la détresse te rendra sourd.
Et si tu t'en prends à moi,
Mon amour, je ne m'en irai pas.
J'étais dans ma tête,
J'étais dans ma tête,
Dans ma tête.
J'étais dans ma tête,
Malgré la tempête,
à vouloir y croire encore un peu.
J'étais dans me tête,
à nous voir devenir vieux.
Je crierai de l'amour,
Quand la détresse te rendra sourd.
Et si tu t'en prends à moi,
Mon amour, je ne m'en irai pas.
In Marilou's song "Dans ma tête," the main theme revolves around the idea of being lost in thought and wanting to hold on to a dying love. The lyrics describe a relationship where one person is talking just for the sake of filling the silence, while the other is lost in their own thoughts, trying to hold on to their hope for the future of the relationship. Despite the turmoil and confusion, the singer is determined to continue loving their partner through any conflict.
The verses are filled with imagery that emphasizes the idea of being lost in thought. The line "tu parlais sans te retenir, simplement pour ne pas rien dire" (you spoke without holding back, simply to avoid saying nothing) shows the emptiness that comes from trying to fill a void with meaningless conversation. The chorus repeats the phrase "j'étais dans ma tête" (I was in my head), emphasizing the idea of being lost in thought and struggling with conflicting emotions.
The final stanza is a declaration of love, even in the face of conflict. The singer promises to continue loving their partner through any hardship and struggling to make it work. The final line, "mon amour, je ne m'en irai pas" (my love, I won't leave), solidifies the commitment to the relationship and the determination to overcome any obstacle.
Overall, "Dans ma tête" is a powerful ballad about the difficulties of holding onto love through difficult times, and the importance of staying committed to the relationship even when things get tough.
