The turning point was when Marina met Marc Collin, composer, arranger and producer, who revealed her to the public and encouraged her to keep creating. From that moment on, Marina invests herself exclusively in music and composition. The artistic color of her songs is an easily recognizable sound; from original melodies to a sensual and a soft voice evoking themes that are heartfelt, as well as revealing feelings with deep emotions and subtlety.
Mother of two children, childhood is a theme that Marina is fond of; simply evoked or sometimes explicit as it is the case on the playful Astral one fairies, a true musical story dedicated to the children, which Marina has illustrated herself since she has also invested herself in drawing.
In 2004, Marc Collin, father of the project "Nouvelle Vague", which success keeps on growing, invites her to sing two tracks for the first "Nouvelle Vague" album: "Has forest" and "Sorry for laughing". Since then, Marina brings her unique voice to "Nouvelle Vague" and shares it live with the public, along side of Camille, when touring in Paris and other major world cities.
Thanks to Nouvelle Vague, Marina's carrier takes a jump forward. She gets noticed by a Japanese label, Rambling Records, and her first album, Acidulé, is launched in Japan in March 2005.
The album delivers an entertained look onto the world; a feigned innocence, a sensual femininity, as this is the case on "les fleurs", or a poetic trip as in "les temps élastique", or one finds again the irony of cynical love with "Sur les bords de la Seine". All the moods of Marina are reflected in those songs; often fragile and melancholic as on "Mon centre de gravité", "Raplaplat". "Acidulé" is therefore a very personal and intimate album, from which is sometimes felt a dreamlike atmosphere. The original melodies of Marina are sublimated by Marc Collin musical electronic arrangements, mixing pop and bossa nova together.
The release of Acidulé is followed by that of Cinéma Enchanté, a project which brings once more Marina and Marc around an original idea: a collection of songs which marked the cinema of the 1960s. Certain melodies remained immortal as "Amour, amour", a song track from the movie "Peau d'âne", and others which have been a little forgotten, such as " Sans toi " a song track from "Cléo de 5 à 7" directed by Agnes Varda.
What makes this album unique and priceless, is that is gives a second life to certain songs such as "Max et les ferrailleurs" or "Pas pris pas vu " d'Ennio Morricone, which was interpreted by Mireille Mathieu back in the days. Cinéma Enchanté is above all an album that celebrates the age of the cinéma of the "Nouvelle Vague", with an acoustic Brazilian sound.
Indeed, the 60's are a recurring topic in Marina's artistic universe, very visible in the video clip "Eisbaer", a track of Nouvelle Vague second album entitled "Bande à Part". We find hence forth the voice of Marina on four titles: "Eisbaer", "Fade to grey ", "Waves" and "O Pamela" and the scenic adventure continues along with Phoebe Kildeer, Mélanie Pain and Gérald Toto.
A Forest
Marina Celeste Lyrics

See into the trees
Find the girl
While you can
Come closer and see
See into the dark
Just follow your eyes
I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark
I hear her voice
And start to run
Into the trees
Into the trees
Into the trees
Suddenly I stop
But I know it's too late
I'm lost in a forest
All alone
The girl was never there
It's always the same
I'm running towards nothing
Again and again and again
Marina Celeste's song "A Forest" can be interpreted as a journey into the unknown where a girl is beckoning the singer to follow her into the dark of the forest. Initially, the girl is visible, but as the singer follows her into the trees, she disappears, leaving the singer lost in the forest. The forest could represent the singer's own subconscious where they lose themselves or get lost in their thoughts. The girl could symbolize the past or a desire that the singer is trying to chase, but can never catch. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been chasing this girl repeatedly, leading them to lose themselves again and again.
The repetition of the line "Into the trees" could signify the singer's desire for self-discovery, but also their fear of getting lost in themselves. The forest could be a metaphor for something that is both beautiful and dangerous. The singer hears the girl's voice and starts to run towards it, but suddenly stops realizing it’s too late. The realization that the girl was never really there makes the singer feel like they've been running towards something that doesn't exist. This could symbolize searching for something that never existed or finally coming to terms with reality.
