Being raised in Breda, hometown of DJ Tiësto, it was only a matter of time till he gained interest in trance. After mastering the art of DJ’ing at high school parties and in local club Spock, Mark got interested in producing music as well. His background in classical piano music proved to be a great benefit here.
After releasing a collaboration with Def Tactical and a Project 6 E.P. at Five AM Records it was time for the next M6 release called Destination 6. It was chosen Tune of the Week on Armin van Buuren’s radio show A State Of Trance and got supported by the biggest names on the planet! From that point on a lot of doors were opened. The next M6 single was signed at Armada Music. Fade 2 Black was, once again, selected Tune of the Week on ASOT.
The 4x no.1 DJ selected Mark's tracks for his annual, platinum selling A State Of Trance compilation three years in a row. In addition to the compilations, Armin also featured one of Mark's tunes on his brand new Wii Game and gave him the opportunity to remix Minack, his collaboration with Ferry Corsten!
Mark's music is released on some of the most well-known dance record labels in the world, like Armada, Blackhole, Spinnin', High Contrast and Flashover and has been played by all the top DJ's like Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules and many many others.
As a DJ, Mark has played all around the globe including tours in India, Brazil, Russia, Italy, UK, Belgium and ASOT 550 in The Netherlands.
Mark also hosts his monthly radio show Solid Sounds which is broadcasted on 6 different radio stations in the USA, Greece, Holland, UK and Germany. The show attracts over 100.000 listeners each month both on FM and on the internet and the numbers are increasing rapidly. So be sure to keep an eye on this young and talented Dutchman. He has plenty more in store for you!
He maintains a busy schedule of originals, remixes, and live performances. An album "The World of Six" was released in March 2020.

I agree! I got these amazing nose cancelling earbuds with AUDIODO TECHNOLOGY that fine tune each bud uniquely to your hearing in each ear separately! Also based on factors such as age , defects or the way your brain perceives them. And it's like I'm at the show? I've heard Armin spin samples of his stuff. Very talented. Great stuff!

I think people don't realize, this was Sixma's farewell track to trance, like Orjan Nilsen - Violetta... and they never made these kind of tracks anymore. But still, good memories :)

100% agreed!

he never left trance, prob just left this kind of style. he just went deeper into big room trance
Benderman
Just as M6 he still makes something similar to trance, but as Mark Sixma he still makes big room.

Most greatfull in my life im for feeling trance music like no others well in my 20 years of only trance music dedication i have to 100% agree not only this track but i belive Whole UC7 was the last farewell to trance music , and actually this was my very last cd compilation i own and still enjoy , same like asot cd compilation for me last one was 2011 then slowly it become not my thing and sadly i Lost something that i could not belive what it become and i cant enjoy my passion for trance , after 2011 i bought few just to see if there is a single spark or track that is able to bring those emotion that every early Whole album since beginin till end was like own strory , that wow effect that today i could give up everything to hear trance album with that track construction that was totally diffrend from each track was next in that mix … so i didnt even check it before , but i could but i did it like years ago i was just 100% sure that this will be fire and it was but once i bought asot 2013,14,15 i just stoped because it was not the sound anymore and i said WHY , i know trance become less popular and i think they did it to fit in a game but what i noticed that the sound is coming back not in Whole track construction but like parts in it like new track of ralphie B - live like legends , i like Whole track but last 2nd part of just music alone is what im talking about , new gen isnt ready to hear 7/10 min track cos for them its too boring to get to main part and thats what i hear from my friends that i was trying to introduce . But always having fun too see Armin playing vinyl Classic set on festivals and his face expresion tells everything and thats still count … best of all is that those all old trance i listen to never gets boring and this is it for me , if the sound will come back ofc ill be there 💪🏻🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼

That 4:10 drop has the most power I think I've ever felt in music.
Let's get all the evil governments in one room, give them a hit of E, play this and watch the world come together as one.
