Martin Jondo, ½ German (father) and ½ Korean (mother), was born 1979 in Berlin. In the mid 90's Martin got in contact with the belief of Rastafar thereon he adapted the cult of reggae singing as well. Now with his new belief he was seeking his past through the nature, with guitar in his case and his new religion he created his first songs.
The Rebel - (*Wake up* from the album- Statements outa Babylon“), feature-tracks („Bloodhunter“ feat. Mellow Mark from his album „Sturm“, „Rainy Days“ with Gentleman, „Wunderlampe“ (Wonderlamp) with Silly Walks Movement) are some of his first tracks.
Although Martin Jondo seems like someone who just came out of the blue, but before his brakethough with his song Rainbow Warrior - he did a lot of background music with a lot of people. Due to his short present on these songs, people couldn't really get a hold of who it was. But he as been working for a long time wiht a lot of well known artist.
He was also two year on tour with Gentelman. So the short chubby guy you might have seen on Gentelmans tour videos on stage -. jup that’s Jondo alright.
(Silly Walks Movement) Soundsystems (Pow_Pow_Movement, (Phlatline Sound), (Redemption Sound)
(Kingstone Sound), (Concrete Jungle),
(Outayard International) and Smoking Tuna)
Believe it or not, but it wasn't before his tour with Gentelman on the year 2002 that he was accepted as a professional artist. Before that Jondo, this charismatic person, had been a bit shy guy and didn't take the shot he deserved. But on his own tour " Journey To Jah" Jondo totaly let lose and showed the world his true self. And with the song "Rainbow Warrior" he killed the crowed with passion and made them his for all eternity.
List of prizes he has conquered:
Best of Dancehall Reggae Dub Ska (2003).
Newcomer of the year (2004).
He was signed to do the music for the movie Golden days by the producer Peter Thorwarths.
Raindrops
Martin Jondo Lyrics

Raindrops pouring down my window
and they remind me of teardrops I shed on my pillow
I said raindrops pouring down my window
and they remind me of teardrops I shed on my pillow
That morning when I woke up it was raining
cats and dogs
I knew something was wrong
but I couldn't couldn't figure it out what
depressed my little little soul, Lord
until I got that message which was freezing my blood and soul, heh
she was up, up and gone with a brother, brother
though she told she woulda never, never, never, never, never
but the time has told the truth and I'm the stupid fool who feels blue, heh
[Chorus]
The tide was high the tide was low
some nights I was lonely some nights I was in love
the seasons they oh they passed by
still I felt we're living just a dirty, dirty lie
but we kept it on that hurtful game
Lord it was a shame, a shame, a shame
'cause we were young young to see that
the things we wanted that they couldn't be and
our untouchable love now it was gone, gone, gone, gone away
you were grabbing for more and I was playing the fool again and
[Chorus]
So I shed tears and tears and tears
and they passed by the years, the years
until I heard a heavenly call
to let go evrything and just fall, fall, fall
into love with loneliness which coulda never hurt me as bad, as bad
as all the years that we've been through
darlin I am go no more I love you
[Chorus]
The lyrics to Martin Jondo's song "Raindrops" explore themes of heartbreak, loss, and regret. The chorus itself is a powerful metaphor, comparing the raindrops on the window to tears shed on a pillow. The first verse sets the scene of a rainy day, which mirrors the sadness the singer is feeling. He then receives a message revealing that his lover has left him for another man, which shatters his world. The second verse reflects on the past, the highs and lows of the relationship, and the realization that their love was never meant to be. The final verse reveals that the singer has shed many tears over the years but has now come to terms with the fact that his love is gone and he must move on.
Overall, the lyrics are poignant and heartfelt, describing a painful experience that many people can relate to. The use of rain as a metaphor for tears and sadness is a powerful and effective literary device, highlighting the emotions that the singer is feeling.

Raindrops pouring down my window
The raindrops falling down the windowpane remind me of the tears I cried while thinking about my lost love
and they remind me of teardrops I shed on my pillow
The raindrops remind me of the tears I cried when I was alone at night and thinking of my lost love
That morning when I woke up it was raining
I woke up on a rainy morning
cats and dogs
It was raining heavily
the sky was covered so grew
The sky was overcast and gloomy
and I knew something was wrong
I had a feeling that something was not right
but I couldn't couldn't figure it out what
I couldn't figure out what was wrong
depressed my little little soul, Lord
It was making me feel low and sad
until I got that message which was freezing my blood and soul, heh
Then I received a message that shocked me deeply
she was up, up and gone with a brother, brother
My love had left me for someone else
though she told she woulda never, never, never, never, never
Although she had promised never to leave me
but the time has told the truth and I'm the stupid fool who feels blue, heh
But time has shown that she was not honest and now I feel foolish for believing her
The tide was high the tide was low
There were ups and downs in our relationship
some nights I was lonely some nights I was in love
Sometimes I felt alone, and other times I was deeply in love
the seasons they oh they passed by
Time went by, and the seasons changed
still I felt we're living just a dirty, dirty lie
Yet, I knew deep down that our relationship was based on deceit and dishonesty
but we kept it on that hurtful game
We continued playing the game of love that was hurting us both
Lord it was a shame, a shame, a shame
It was a pity that we couldn't be honest and true to ourselves
'cause we were young young to see that
We were too young and naive to understand the consequences of our actions
the things we wanted that they couldn't be and
We wanted things that were not meant to be
our untouchable love now it was gone, gone, gone, gone away
Our love, which was once unbreakable, was now gone
you were grabbing for more and I was playing the fool again and
You wanted more from me, while I was foolishly playing along
So I shed tears and tears and tears
I cried and cried for a long time
and they passed by the years, the years
The years went by, but my pain and sorrow remained
until I heard a heavenly call
Until I heard a message from above
to let go evrything and just fall, fall, fall
To let go of everything and surrender to the pain
into love with loneliness which coulda never hurt me as bad, as bad
To embrace loneliness, which would hurt less than the pain of lost love
as all the years that we've been through
The pain of lost love was worse than the years I spent with my love
darlin I am go no more I love you
My love, I am leaving you and ending this relationship
Raindrops pouring down my window
The raindrops falling down the windowpane remind me of the tears I cried while thinking about my lost love
and they remind me of teardrops I shed on my pillow
The raindrops remind me of the tears I cried when I was alone at night and thinking of my lost love
