My Testimony
Marvin Sapp Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So glad I made it, I made it through
In spite of the storm and rain, heartache and pain
Still I'm declaring
That I made it through

See, I didn't lose
Experienced lost at a major cost
But I never lost faith in you

So if you see me cry,
It's just a sign that I'm
I'm still alive
I got some scars, but I'm still alive
In spite of calamity,
He still has a plan for me
And it's working for my good
And it's building my testimony

So glad I made it,
I made it through
In spite of the storm and rain, heartache and pain
I'm still alive to say
I made it through
I didn't lose
Experienced lost at a major cost,
But I never lost faith in you

I'm so glad I made it
So glad I made it
I made it through
I made it through

So glad I made it
So glad I made it
I made it through
I made it through
[x5]

So if you see me cry
It's just a sign that I'm,
I'm still alive
I got some scars, but I'm still alive
In spite of calamity

He still has a plan for me
It's working out

I've lived with people who didn't want my kids around. I've been homeless, I've had money and I didn't have it. Everything I got God gave to me. But I believe in God, and i had a vision the tough times made me a warrior. I work hard I have been at my job for a 4 year and in my place a year. So what I'm trying to say if you believe in your dreams they will come true. I had a gun put in my face , talked about and mistreated....I'm still here therefore I am a survivor

Chantee Spurling your testimony mirrors our exact situation. We went through the exact same thing except my 15 year old son had a gun pulled on him and he was just taking out the trash. But, when we made a full commitment to God our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on New Years eve 2020 saved, sanctified and filled with the precious Holy Ghost, everything started to change. No longer homeless, More money to take care of our family and not struggling financially. To God be the Glory. He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you will make the commitment and put God first and seek the Kingdom of Heaven then everything will be added unto you.

It's not our time it's God's Timing. You just have to be patient and wait on God because what he has for you is for only you. Get ready to receive what God has in store for you...
