Guys, this is very important. I think Team Galactic and the Subspace Army are the same group. Here's why.
1. Both are very evil groups with different branches of authority
2. Both related to other dimensions somehow
3. The leaders of both groups (both of which are clearly male) both try to rewrite their universes
4. Both groups own multiple research facilities which are infiltrated by at least 1 Pokémon related character
5. Team Galactic has their own bomb and these guys have Subspace Bombs
6. Godly beings (Dialga/Palkia and Master Hand respectively) oppose the leaders at both stories' climaxes
7. Team Galactic Admins get betrayed just like the Ancient Minister does
8. Both groups came out during the same video game generation (DS/Wii era)
9. This theme plays as a POKÉMON TRAINER is fighting "Primids"

@Shake Man hmmmm... yes and no. I’d rather have gen 4 hp drops than gen 5. Gen 5 literally NEEDED the fade-away to show you there was an animation, otherwise you’d just assume the damage was updated over a single frame.

Team Rocket had influences all around, but they overall didn't have many chances to reach their goals. Aqua just fucked up with their plan, and though Magma came close, they still weren't prepared for Groudon going crazy. Plasma didn't really get close to their main goal, and though Ghetsis was able to take control of Kyurem he still wasn't that close to the end. Team Flare was REALLY close, but they didn't count on the fact that the weapon needed to charge up, taking so long that in the end all that happened was...really nothing.
Team Galactic, however, came SO CLOSE to their goal (in platinum). Cyrus had control of both Dialga and Palkia, and there was seemingly nothing stopping him-not even the lake trio.
But then Giratina comes from another dimension.

the other games make it seem like you were the reason the world was saved- in platinum you were running alongside it and just intervened a couple times.

Cyrus's end goal was just to have this universe to himself, more obvious in the anime. In a way he got this in form of the distortion world. In the end he actually achieved his true goal, being i think the only team leader to do so.
