Songfacts states that Redman's eighth album 10,000 Reasons, was co-written with several of his friends. He then recorded the songs live in Atlanta, leading worship for over 1,000 worship leaders during LIFT: A Worship Leader Collective, put on by Passion City Church and sixstepsrecords on February 18 and 19, 2011. It sold nearly 7,000 units its first week in the US, almost doubling Redman's previous album release We Shall Not Be Shaken. The LP entered the Billboard 200 at #66, his biggest debut to date.

This song talks about standing before the throne of God and being dressed in glory, not of our own. The joy that the singer will feel on the day they stand before the throne is indescribable as there would be no more tears or broken dreams, everything forgotten will be in the minor key as was meant to be. Then comes a declaration of worship to the King as the singer promises to worship forever in the presence of God, in an endless hallelujah with other saints and angels, and all the hosts of heaven.
The second verse explains the depth of love that the singer has for God and how they will see God as He is without shame or fear, with an unsinning heart. It is only by seeing God as He is that they will understand how much He paid to bring them home. At that point, the singer would recognize their debt to God and everything they are before His throne of grace. The song ends with a declaration of an endless hallelujah to the King, a never-ending worship to God.
