He has since launched another album, Beautiful News, and continues to write many more popular songs such as You Never Let Go and Shine.
Songfacts states that Redman's eighth album 10,000 Reasons, was co-written with several of his friends. He then recorded the songs live in Atlanta, leading worship for over 1,000 worship leaders during LIFT: A Worship Leader Collective, put on by Passion City Church and sixstepsrecords on February 18 and 19, 2011. It sold nearly 7,000 units its first week in the US, almost doubling Redman's previous album release We Shall Not Be Shaken. The LP entered the Billboard 200 at #66, his biggest debut to date.
King Of This Heart

To think i can live this way
For just another day
So I'll search through the night for the One my heart loves
Won't stop 'til I've found You for, Lord, I need to hold You close
Be the King of this heart again
Be the King of this life
Be the King of this heart
Be the King of this heart
I've stood in the desert and thirsted for You
I've run through the city, now I won't let go
I'm throwing myself on Your mercy, O God
You say it's all or nothing
I'm saying, "Jesus, have it all"
Be the King of this heart again
Be the King of this life
In my soul there's a cry today
Be the King of this heart
You'll be the King of this heart
Be the light for my eyes, be the strength for my feet
Be the love of my soul, be my everything
Be my day and my night, when I wake, when I sleep
Undivided my heart will be
Be the King of this heart again
Be the King of this life
In my soul there's a cry today
Be the King of this heart
Would you be
Be the King of this heart always
You say it's all or nothing
I'm saying, "Jesus, have it all"
Be the King of this heart again
Be the King of this life, yeah
In my soul there's a cry today
Be the King of this heart
Would you be the King of this heart, Jesus
Would you be the King of this heart
I need You today
The King of this heart always
You're the King of this heart
You're the King of this heart
You will be
You will be the King of this heart
In "King of This Heart," Matt Redman expresses his longing for a deeper relationship with God. He recognizes that time is too short to live in a way that doesn't prioritize God, and he searches tirelessly for the One his heart loves - Jesus. Redman speaks of desert days and restless nights where he has thirsted for God, and where he has run through the city seeking Him. He has finally come to a place where he throws himself on God's mercy, surrendering all to Jesus.
The chorus emphasizes the desire for Jesus to be the King of our hearts. Redman sings of a cry in his soul, and he asks Jesus to be the King of his heart and his life. The singer recognizes that only God can be the light for his eyes, the strength for his feet, and the love for his soul. He is committing to making Jesus his everything, and he wants to live undividedly for Him.
The song is a worshipful declaration of love and surrender to God, recognizing that the ultimate satisfaction is found in Him alone. Redman encourages believers to make a similar commitment to surrendering their lives to Jesus and making Him the King of their hearts.
