They are managed by Prestige Management, and were signed to the Island Records label from their launch (2004) until December 2007, before creating their own label, Super Records. McFly is also the youngest band ever to have an album debut at #1.
McFly appeared in the teen comedy film Just My Luck, starring Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine, in 2006. The band played themselves in the film and released a US album, Just My Luck, which was also used as the film's soundtrack.
Not Alone
McFly Lyrics

And I don't know what to do or
What to say
And my mind is growing weak every
Step I take
Its uncontrollable now they think I'm
Fake yeah
I'm not alone
I'm not alone
I get on the train on my own
And my tired radio keeps playing tired
Songs
I know that there's not long to go
Coz all I want to do is just go home
Coz I'm not alone
I'm not alone
I'm not alone
People rip me for the clothes I wear
Every day seems to be the same
They just swear
They just don't care [Repeat x3]
Coz I'm not alone
I'm not alone
I'm not alone
Na na na na's
Coz I'm not alone
La la la la
I'm not alone
The song Not Alone by McFly is about feeling alone and struggling to cope in a difficult world. The lyrics express a sense of helplessness and desperation as the singer faces daily challenges that seem insurmountable. The opening lines, "Life is getting harder day by day / And I don't know what to do or what to say," set the tone for the rest of the song.
The lyrics suggest that the singer is going through some kind of personal crisis. "And my mind is growing weak every step I take / It's uncontrollable now they think I'm fake yeah," implies that the struggles are affecting the singer's mental health and that others perceive them as insincere or disingenuous. However, in the chorus, the singer declares that they are not alone, suggesting a glimmer of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
The song also touches on themes of isolation and societal pressure. The line "People rip me for the clothes I wear / Every day seems to be the same / They just swear / They just don't care" highlights the singer's feelings of being judged and ostracized by those around them.
Overall, Not Alone by McFly is a poignant expression of the emotional challenges many people face in their lives. The song offers a message of hope, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we are not truly alone.
