Born in Cidade Tiradentes, on the outskirts of São Paulo, she ventured into funk parties as the only female MC. Despite not having studied music, Thais began to compose only by observing other songs, soon resulting in an amateur recording being disseminated in Cidade Tiradentes through his late brother Douglas. At the age of 15, Thais composed a track and was encouraged by a friend to record it. Through this, she began to perform at events in the periphery. Tha entered a journalism degree at age 18 and eventually put music aside to focus on her studies and social and cultural projects. Thais was encouraged to return to singing by Jaloo, with whom she shared a house at the time and became a close friend.
In November 2014, Tha independently released her first official single, "Olha Quem Chega", produced by Jaloo. Almost two years later, in August 2016, she released "Pra Você" through the record label Funk na Caixa. Produced by Omulu and King Doudou, the song "Bonde da Pantera" was released as Tha's third single on October 20, 2017. In 2018, the singer released the song "Valente", shared authorship with Jaloo on the track "Céu Azul ", and released an extended play featuring acoustic versions of its four singles. Versions, as the EP was titled, was produced by Pedrowl.
In January 2019, a collaboration between Mateus Carrilho and MC Tha, "Sonzeira", was released. The following month, the singer released another single, "Rito de Passá". The track served as the first single from Tha's debut studio album, Rito de Passá, released on June 21, 2019. The album was considered one of the 50 best national albums by the website Tem Mais Discos do Que Amigos. Despite not being released as a single, the song "Coração Vagabundo" received a music video directed by Rodrigo de Carvalho, which premiered on February 13, 2020.

The lyrics to Mc Tha's song "Valente" are encouraging the listener to free their mind and remember that they are strong like the waters of the sea. The song speaks to the struggles and obstacles that people face in life and how it is important to stand strong like a snake's skin for people to step on. The song encourages people to walk with a firm step so as not to waver and to never let anyone bring them down. The lyrics also suggest that despite the struggles one may face, one should always have hope for a better future, and find happiness in the small things in life.
The artist is urging listeners to "put their finger up and leave their feet rooted to the ground". In other words, she is asking the listener to take a stance and be proud of who they are and where they come from. The song is also asking the question of who doesn't want happiness whether they come from a rich or poor background, and encourages people to be open-minded and seek knowledge in order to be truly free.
Overall, the song "Valente" is a powerful message of hope, perseverance, and standing strong in the face of adversity.
