Glaub an das was do siehst
Glaub an das was do hörst
und glaube an das was do liest
do - mach dich frei - endlich frei
Glaub an was do bist
Glaub an was do hängst
Glaube alles was do denkst
do - mach dich frei - endlich frei
Vertrau auf dein Gefühl
do bist I'm Hier und Jetzt
Glaub und sei ganz still
bis Stille dich zerfetzt
The lyrics of Megaherz's song "Mach dich frei" seem to be about the importance of self-belief and trusting in one's own thoughts and feelings. The repetition of the phrase "Glaub an das was do" (Believe in what you) reinforces this theme, encouraging the listener to have faith in themselves and their perceptions. Furthermore, the lyrics suggest that true freedom comes from this self-belief, with the repeated refrain "do - mach dich frei - endlich frei" translating to "you - make yourself free - finally free" in English. This encourages the listener to let go of doubts and fears in order to find true liberation.
The second verse of the song further reinforces the message of the first, encouraging the listener to believe in themselves even when others might disapprove. The line "Glaub an was do bist" (Believe in what you are) suggests that one's identity is not determined by the opinions of others, but rather by one's own beliefs and values. This is further emphasized by the line "Glaube jeden Mist" (Believe in any crap), which suggests that one should trust in their own judgment even when it goes against conventional wisdom. The verse ends with the refrain "do - mach dich frei - endlich frei" once again, driving home the message that true freedom comes from believing in oneself.
