Messiah (UK band):
Formed in 1988 during London's acid house craze by college friends Ali Ghani and Mark Davies, Messiah's brand of rave techno encompasses the aggression and volume of punk and the diva vocals of house music. When Ghani and Davies met at an Iggy Pop concert, the two decided to purchase some electronic equipment and make music for fun; when musical chemistry became evident, they began to get into the English techno and rave scene. After the release of 1993's Temple of Dreams, their first full-length U.S. album, 21st Century Jesus, was released one year later. Messiah Meets Progenitor followed in 1998 and saw a fairly dramatic shift in style. The introduction of guitars into the mix pushed their sound more towards that of Jesus Jones, Pop Will Eat Itself or later Prodigy.
Messiah (Swiss metal band):
Messiah is a death/thrash metal band from Switzerland. The band is best known for their first two full-length albums, Hymn to Abramelin and Extreme Cold Weather. Messiah's debut album, Hymn to Abramelin, was released in 1986 through Chainsaw Murder Records. Their sophomore LP, titled Extreme Cold Weather, came out in 1987 and was re-issued on CD three years later by Nuclear Blast. The release also contained the band's debut album. The band then managed to sign to a German major metal label, Noise Records, which released their next album, Choir of Horrors, in 1991. Messiah released two more albums, Rotten Perish and Underground, through Noise, but disbanded in the mid-1990's.
After a long break Messiah reunited, first to perform a few secret shows in 2017, but then decided to write new material in 2018, and released a new album in September 2020. Since 2018 also, they are back on stage and play live again. Their newest album Christus Hypercubus is set to be released on March 1, 2024.

I hate these smiling fools
They live their lives in sorrow
But claim their lives are cool
I tremble out of anger
When I hear them speak
They won't survive tomorrow
Because they are too weak
Tomorrow is the day of joy
Tomorrow is the day of sin
When the strong will take over the world
Tomorrow is the day of joy
Tomorrow is the day of sin
Of sin...
They're preaching in their churches
They fill their heads with lies
They preach about a dead man
Since long time crucified
And this holy bible
Why won't they let it go?
It's just a book of stories
From thousands of years ago
I live in filth
I live in sin
I live in lust
I live in joy
Tomorrow is another day
Tomorrow is the day of joy
Tomorrow is the day of sin
When the strong will take over the world
Their holy god jehova
He is both deaf and blind
So he won't hear their prayers
They will stay left behind
Why can't they realize that
Their faith will soon be dead
The end of their religion
The world will soon be dead
Oh, fuck I hate these people
We hate these smiling fools
They live their lives in sorrow
But claim their lives are cool
We tremble out of anger
When we hear them speak
They won't survive tomorrow
Because they are too weak
I live in wealth
I live in strength
I have no sorrow
I have no pain
Tomorrow is another day
Tomorrow is the day of joy
Tomorrow is the day of sin
When the strong will take over the world
Tomorrow we will wake our dreams
Tomorrow is the day of wealth
Tomorrow is the day
Living in a Lie by Messiah is a song that delves into the theme of hypocrisy, deception, and the manipulation of religious beliefs. The song is an expression of anger towards people who live a false life, pretending to be happy and living a life of sorrow. In the first verse, the singer expresses their hatred towards these people who claim to be happy but are secretly miserable. The anger deepens as the singer goes on to describe how weak these people are and how they won't survive tomorrow. The tone in this verse is confrontational, forceful, and passionate.
The chorus of the song is a repetition of the idea that tomorrow is the day of joy, sin, and when the strong will take over the world. The underlying message here is that the strong will conquer the weak and rule over them. The lyrics suggest that the strong are those who live in sin, lust, and joy, while the weak are those who are imprisoned by their religious beliefs.
The second verse attacks religion and the people who preach about a dead man who was crucified centuries ago. The singer questions why people can't let go of the bible, which is just a collection of stories from thousands of years ago. The part where the singer talks about living in filth, sin, and lust is a direct contrast to the people who claim to be living a happy life while adhering to religious beliefs. The song gives the impression that the singer feels liberated by living in sin, while hypocritical people are living a stagnant life of sorrow and deception.
