Growing up in South Africa seems to have grounded this musician and given him a different perspective on how the world works, and it certainly comes across in his personality and in his music.
In July of 2009 Michael sent Scott Austin (CEO of Authentik Artists) an email seeking advice from someone “in the know” - someone who he later described as being relatable and surprisingly approachable - In the email Michael also sent Scott the links to some recently uploaded YouTube videos. The two began emailing back and forth and to the amazement of both men, each had found something worth holding onto. After just a few months of planning, fund raising and songwriting, Michael found himself on a plane to Las Vegas ready to dive head first into his dreams.
Michael arrived in Las Vegas on December 16th 2009 and over the next few days, with the help of producer Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, The Killers), Scott Austin and some incredibly talented musicians, the “dream team” set out to record six songs in the comfort of the Studio at The Palms - music and lyrics by Michael Lowman.
With his gift for storytelling and an underlying rhythmic and melodic sense on guitar, this young man just might be the next “real deal” to hit the music scene.
Producer Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Chris Isaak, The Killers) along with musicians Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morissette) Dave Palmer (Chris Isaak, Fiona Apple) Robin DiMaggio (Paul Simon, Steve Vai) and Eric Schermerhorn (Seal, Iggy Pop)

But I don't feel like talking
And this is not what I planned
And this not how it's supposed to be
Now, I believe in angels
But I don't see them flying
And I don't see the white wings
'Cause tonight just falls away
And this is how you got raised
So, release your heart to the sky
And for that moment in time
You'll be home again
And early morning we've been
It's only dawning on me
I'll never get to see him
He'll never get to see the man I am
I'm tryna see a bright side
I'm tryna be a good child
The sweetest D you've ever seen
And the strongest mama bear, oh
'Cause tonight just falls away
And this is how I got raised
So, release your heart to the sky
And for that moment in time
You'll be home again
Life's a funny thing
You get what you got, you give what you haven't been now, yeah
One of these days
You'll be grown
When life hangs you to dry and kicks on your own
But you're gonna be stronger
Than you were before
'Cause we not just born this way
And this is how we get raised
So, release your heart to the sky
And for that moment in time
You'll be home again
The song "Home Again" by Michael Lowman is a soulful tune that deals with the theme of feeling lost and disconnected. The opening lyrics talk about a fork in the road that the singer is facing but doesn't feel like talking about. This could symbolize a crossroads in his life where he's unsure which path to take or a decision he's already made but is hesitant to talk about it. The second verse talks about the singer's belief in angels but not being able to see them or feel their presence. This could be a metaphor for feeling lost or disconnected from a higher power or lacking faith that things will work out for him.
The chorus of the song brings a sense of hope and comfort. It talks about releasing your heart to the sky and finding home again. This could mean finding a sense of belonging or inner peace. The verses that follow talk about trying to find the bright side and being a good child. The singer wants to be seen as strong and the sweetest version of himself. The song ends with a message of hope, that no matter what life throws at you, you'll be stronger than before.
